Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

On a drive to town one morning, the weather was mild for this time of year, the leaves were in full color of their different shades of red, yellow and orange, as we were in our own thoughts on the drive, we drove past a house that we knew someone had died in that house, and that's where our conversation took us to... the young person was young when she died. Another comment was that she was a good person in the community, she was kind to everyone, helping others, these were the things she was known for and as this person continued, she must have made..... I knew what the words word that this person wanted to say but it was time to get off at the work place.

Another time it came up in conversation how wonderful a person our neighbor has been, anything we have needed help with, he would do the best he could to help out, anything from mowing the lawn, to putting plastic on windows, cleaning out the shed, moving furniture, he also mowed other neighbors lawns. Our neighbor always has a smile on his face, he never has a mean thing to say, ever. He has a very kind and gentle spirit.

Girlfriends, a person can be all of these things in their character, kind, loving, gentle, a great helper their whole lives, but the question is..."will this get them into heaven?" Our key verse says that Jesus told him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." This means that we have to accept that Jesus is who He says He is and that He died on the cross to save us from sin, and that when we accept Jesus into our hearts, then we will be saved and we will see heaven. We can be a wonderful person doing good our whole lives but like it says in the James 2:14-17, "What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." (continue to read down to verse 26) You see, we need both faith and works together, we are putting our faith into action when we are putting our works into action, they both work together. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please God.

The clear fact is, we can be the best person that we can be, and we should want to be that way, even so, we still need Jesus in our lives no matter how good of a person that we are. Jesus made it very simple for us to make it to heaven, He went to the cross and gave up His own life, He took on the sins of the world, so that we would be free and can live free when we accept Him into our hearts and when ever the day is that He comes back for us, as we watch and wait, we live each day for Him doing good and being kind, and helping all people that we can, that is how we will show the Father's love as we are His hands and feet extended.

Let's Pray,

Precious Heavenly Father, I thank you for your salvation plan, that you gave us your son Jesus Christ to come and rescue us from our sinful ways. Lord we make things complicated at times, when it's as easy as saying "yes" to you Lord and accepting you into our hearts. When we do, we begin to see a wonderful change taking place within us that is so exciting. Lord I thank you for each sweet person who has said yes to you today that they want to accept you as their Savior and I thank you for each dear soul who has decided to come back to you, because they had wandered away for whatever reason, it does not matter. You are always right there to forgive whenever we call out to you. I thank you for your son Jesus and that one day we will see you face to face and live with you forever and ever, in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed sweet girlfriends and pass on to others what God has done for you. Sharing is caring, Amen.
