"Go home to your friends," he told him, "and tell them what wonderful things God has done for you; and how merciful he has been." Mark 5:19 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

If you have heard of homing pigeons, they possess a group of neurons inside of them so that they can navigate which direction they are going. Carrier pigeons were used to relay news of the conquest of Gaul to Rome, they brought the news of Napoleon's defeat at waterloo to England and they were also used extensively to carry messages back and forth in the two world wars.

In the 1890's Morse code was used extensively to send messages for early radio communication before it was possible to transmit ones voice. In the late 19th and twentieth century most high speed international used Morse code on telegraph lines, under sea cable and radio circuits.

For many years we have learned that by "word of mouth" can travel many miles, when one is looking for a job, one may ask a friend who may ask another friend until information would be relayed back to the person who was asking the question in the beginning. Today we may ask a person where one could find a good hairdresser or a good place to shop for children's clothes, especially if you had just moved into a new town or city.

Back when Jesus walked this earth, there were many people that he had healed and He would tell that person to either go tell what had been done or go show the people what had been done, so I wanted to share with you a few of those accounts. Matt. 8:23-34, Mark 5:8-20 and Luke 8:29-35 talks about the account when Jesus had freed the man of Gadarenes from the demons that had him bound, when they were cast into the pigs that the herdsman was tending, the herdsman then ran into the nearest town to tell all the people what he had just been a witness to. The man that had been set free was told by Jesus to go back to his town and show the people what Jesus had done for him. Can you imagine that scene, because everyone in that town would have known about this man who had been tormented by demons, so much that he couldn't live in the same town anymore, what a testimony of how Jesus set him free.

In Luke 17:12-19 there were ten lepers who came to Jesus and each one of them was healed. Jesus had told them to go back to the priests and show themselves that they had been healed. One of the men had seen that he was healed and turned around to give Him the glory as he bowed before Jesus thanking Him for what He had done. Jesus told the man to stand up and go, that his faith had made him well. Being healed from leprosy would be something to get excited about, the whole body would be covered with oozing sores that would keep on spreading and there was no cure, but Jesus was the cure.

In Matthew 9:2-7, friends of a paralytic had carried him on a mat to see Jesus, because they knew and believed that if Jesus had touched him, he would be healed. Jesus had told the man that his sins were forgiven and to pick up his bed and walk, and the man did just that as he walked out through the crowd, as they stared in amazement. Can you imagine seeing this happen right before your eyes, someone being healed.

One more account to share with you is found in Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5:25-34 and Luke 8:43-48, where the woman with the issue of blood, she had been hemorrhaging for twelve years. She had spent all the money that she had on physicians, and no one could help her. It was told that when she had learned that Jesus had come to town and was walking through, she knew He was her chance to be healed. As she crawled her way through the crowd, as not to be seen, as she got close enough to touch the hem of His garment, she was immediately healed from her blood condition. In those days a woman was considered unclean when she was bleeding, anything she was to touch or sit on would be unclean, but thanks be to Jesus, this woman was healed right on the spot, it said immediately, because she had great faith. Everyone that was in the crowd that day would have seen this happen and would have seen a difference in her, the glow on her face, the way she was able to walk and the excitement that would have come out of her mouth.

Girlfriends, I am sure there has to be many things that each of us can think of that Jesus has healed us from, or set us free from that we too can share with other people. This is our testimony that we can share with other people to speak of the goodness of Jesus and what He has done for us. Can you imagine the affect it could be on a person who has never met Jesus before or has never had that personal encounter with Him, what an eye opener it could be. Girlfriends, we have to be like that carrier pigeon to go and tell the good news about Jesus and what He can do for them as well, as we use our own personal testimony, that could be the door opener for them to have their own personal experience. Let us not hold back all of the good things Jesus has done for us, let's open our mouth and tell of all the marvelous things that we have seen Him do by sharing our own story of what JHe has brought us through, Amen?

Let's Pray,

Father God, I praise You and I thank You for Your wonderful grace and mercy that You have shown each one of us. Lord I lift up Your wonderful name. Lord, continue to give each and every one of us a boldness like a lion to share the gospel to those we come in contact with as we open up our testimony to them. Lord, let Your words flow through our mouth so that the right words will be said to reach their heart and they will know that You Yourself is the one talking to them. Lord, I believe that this is a year that the up and above things are going to be shown to people that will draw them to you, and we give You all the glory in advance in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings of Jesus on to those you meet.
