Are You Looking For A Change

For Everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Spring, summer, fall and winter, I have to wonder, if a poll was taken which season would come out on the top of the list. Many people have said that they love spring, the fresh air, new buds are forming on the trees, spring flowers are popping up after their long winters sleep, everything looks, smells and feels fresher. Another list of people tend to lean towards the beautiful hot summer months, hot sunny balmy weather as they go off to the beach, it's family vacation time, longer daylight time as barbeques are sending off some wonderful smells in the air. Children are loving their bikes as they go on little adventures on trails that have been provided and pools are open for many friends and family gatherings.

Just the other night I over heard one of my daughters say that fall was her favorite season, it's not too hot and it's not too cold, which we can all agree. The leaves are changing to their wonderful array of colors, red, yellow, orange fills the landscape of our beautiful country side. Family pictures, graduation pictures are taken under big, beautiful oak trees to catch the sharpness of the bright colors of fall. Parents and children raking big piles of leaves just to make the big jump that covers the little ones as they giggle enjoying the fun.

The only people that would really enjoy the winter season, are the ones who love to snowmobile, or go ice fishing, snowshoeing and cross country skiing does offer that exercise to keep one in shape during the long winter months, and of course as one fellow had said, "there are not bugs" during this time of the year. Oh and I almost forgot, those wonderful snowmen that we see covering peoples lawns as the children roll tiny mounds of snow until they shape them into the snowman.

Girlfriends, we really do live in the most beautiful part of the world, we do not experience the tornados and hurricanes that other places are hit with several times a year, we are blessed. Just as seasons change, they come and go, so do our lives change, many different things change and that is what shapes us to be who we are. Looking back, it was twenty three years ago when I was looking for a change in my life, I was looking for things to be different, I had been going down the same dirt road for long enough and not only did I want the change, but I needed it as well.

If you are that person who is feeling that way, I know, I was there. I know what it is like to be a single mother most of the time, struggling financially, emotionally, physically, just trying to survive. We don't have to wait for the season to change in order to have the season in our life to change, it can happen in that very moment. The moment that I cried out to God and said, after going through much emotional stress, that if my baby was born healthy and well, that I would give my life over to Him. You know God did something very special for me after making that statement, He allowed me to see what that little baby looked like in a dream before she was born, and as soon as she was born, I had said, "that's the face I saw."

God is so good, I can't say it enough how He has changed many situations around for me since I have given my heart to Him and started learning more about who He is and how much He loves me. He is the very same God that can change your situation around when you surrender your whole life over to Him, He is the one that can make miraculous things happen that can just blow your mind. God wants you to surrender that situation over to Him, let Him make some changes in your changes in your heart, so that instead of feeling hatred you feel love, instead of feeling unworthy, you will see that you do have worth, instead of feeling not good enough, you will know that you are more than enough and instead of feeling that you are poor, you will know that you are a queen, you are lovely, you are beautiful in God's eyes and that's the thing that matters, what God thinks and says that you are.

If you are looking for change, today is that day, and God is the one that can make that happen, give it over to Him.

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank you for the seasons that we experience in this country. I also thank you for the changes in our lives as well. There are many times we go through some hard times but when we are over on the other side of it, we are then able to see how much better off we are from that change. Lord I lift up that one who is and has been looking and is now ready for that change to take place. Lord I thank you that as they make that bold statement that is just between you and them that You will come in to their space as they will feel Your mighty presence as that change takes places on the inside of them, and then in time changes will be made on the outside as well. Lord I pray a special blessing over that dear one who makes that bold change in their life to walk a new walk with You, knowing that You will always be right by their side every step of the way in their new walk, in Jesus name, Amen.
