Are You Ready For The Kingdom?

Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted to her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure-for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, "Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb." And he said to me, "These are the true words of God." Revelation 19:7-9 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Oh, I can still remember it like it was yesterday, knowing that my wedding day was soon approaching, as my head was spinning with all the wonderful ideas that had been spinning around in my mind of how I was going to decorate. Yes, I did my own decorating, it is something I absolutely love to do, I guess you would say that it is a God given gift that I have. When I look at a room, I receive visions of how everything is going to look.

It's not long before I go straight to work creating decorations, wedding bouquets, boutonnieres for all the men, beautiful flower arrangements and candles for the tables, as well as tulle, flowers, and candles for each window, and we cannot forget beautiful tulle that drapes down the aisle with flowers at each seat, the long white aisle runner with flower petals that lead to the front of the room, with tulle and lights that light up the whole front of the room as huge vases of flowers fill in the rest of the empty spaces.

Oh, can't you just picture it, as my friend and I would stand back, as we would look at the spectacular view, everything just falls into place. Everything has to match, as the colors brings everything alive, for the most wonderful day that every special invited guest will be able to enjoy. With much time, energy and preparation, everything is ready right down to the gown in all of it's sparkly and glittery splendor.

You can just feel it, how the excitement rises as the countdown is on for the big day, and isn't that they way we should be girlfriends, as we are looking forward for that day to come when our Savior comes back for His bride? We, who are living for Him, will one day be taken up to live with our Lord for eternity, and with this, there are also things we must do in preparation for this marvelous event. Our very first step was when we asked Jesus into our heart, and with each passing day as we drew closer and closer to Him, we grow more and more into His likeness as we let go of our old ways, our old life styles, and we allow Him to transform us to be a better version of us.

We do not have to go to all of the expense and trouble of decorating and making our surroundings beautiful to look at, but rather cleaning up all of the inside of us so that we are beautiful in our hearts, so that God's love and glorious light will shine through us. Have you ever wondered why people may be so drawn to you as you speak to someone, it's because of the loving spirit of Jesus that lives inside of you that is expounding out, and that spirit is drawing them. 1 Peter 3:15-16 tells us to be prepared to answer someone that comes to you, and wonders about the hope that you have, we must be ready to speak in a gentle and loving way, as we tell them about the hope that we carry.

Girlfriends, you may ask, "How do I know if I am ready?" Here are five ways to help you acknowledge if you are ready.

1. Feeling Godly sorrow for sin ( 1Cor. 7:9-10)

2. Confessing and forsaking sins (Prov. 28:13, Isaiah 55:7, Job 11:14)

3. Make amends where possible, for wrong doings (Luke 19:8)

4. 4. Obeying the commandments (1 Peter 4:10, John 4:15, Luke 11:28, Matt. &:21-23)

5. Turning to the Lord and serving Him (Isaiah 45:22, Psalm 22:27)

God makes it very clear that we are to turn from our old ways, our sinful ways and not to turn back to it, but follow God's way of living, the way He shows us, we are to live by His commandments and as we do, those fruits will be evident to others, as we walk with the Lord day by day.

God does not make it difficult in any way, He is a very gentle and kind God and full of mercy. If you are ready this and you have never turned your life over to Him, but you would like to, today is that special day for you. If you have given yourself over to God and you have fallen back a bit, today is your day to scoop yourself back up and make things right, it is just that simple, Amen? God totally loves us girlfriends, and He wants us to get prepared for that exciting day is drawing near when the groom is coming for His bride and that is us. Are you ready for the Kingdom?

Father God, I thank You for this glorious day that I can say You are mine and I am Yours. Lord, I can surely say that I am ready for that glorious and wonderful day when You split the sky wide open to come back for Your bride, oh glorious day. Lord, I lift up those precious sweet souls to You that have not yet made that commitment to You. Lord, I declare that they will feel Your mighty presence all around them today, as they will surrender their life to You as they say yes Lord have Your way. Lord, I lift up those precious souls to You that have wandered away, but are ready now to come back into the fold, Lord let them feel Your undying love envelope them from the top of their heads to the souls of their feet. Lord, let each one of them testify that they just had a God moment that was undeniable and I give you all the praise and glory in advance, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
