You should defend those who cannot help themselves. Yes, speak up for the poor and needy and see that they get justice. Proverbs 31:8-9

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Sitting in the principals office describing a situation that had been going on for a little while, as it was brought to my attention, I decided to bring it to the teacher's and the principals attention as well. My son was being made fun of and being bullied by three boys, at the very small elementary school they attended, so of course being a mother who loved her child, I wanted to make sure the staff was aware so it did not get out of hand in a greater way. Not much time had passed that another situation went down with these three boys who had my son backed into a corner of the school on the playground. One of the teacher's on duty had seen everything as the three boys had been led into the school to the principals office, it was there the situation was addressed.

Many years later, driving into the yard at my work place, there were a group of high school students who looked to be crowding around another student. I looked back to see what was happening, as I saw one person on the ground as others were taking turns kicking this person. At that moment I had swung my car around, and in that brief moment I didn't know what I was going to do but I found myself heading toward the group of students. As they heard my vehicle coming closer, it wasn't long that everyone took off running including the person that had been on the ground. Everything happened so fast it was all a blur. Returning to work a phone call was made the school so that they were aware of the situation, in which I was told someone else had already notified them and that they would take care of it.

One of my dear friends was putting together a special supper for a few women who were not very well off, one was homeless, one had an apartment but slept on the floor because she did not have any furniture at this point and there were a couple of other ladies who came for this wonderful meal that would follow with a little Bible study to offer each one of those lovely ladies hope. I was so blessed to be a part of this, not only were we being a voice for God by helping those who are less off, but later on my friend continued to help the homeless lady find an apartment and together my friend and I were able to help find clothing, furniture, dishes, bedding to get her started. This lady was led to different programs that would help her to get on her feet, and my friend had stayed in touch with her to see her progress.

Girlfriends, I heard this quote from a man that I loved and it was to help describe our key verse that says to help the needy, the poor the ones who can't speak for themselves, "From the womb to the tomb," these are the people we are to help. When you stop to think about this that takes in a lot of people. We as mother's are the voice for our children no matter the age, more so when they are small. Not only for our own children are we to have a voice for, but what about the ones who have not been born yet, the ones who may not get a chance. Not only can we be a voice on social media, but why not take the extra step to speak to some of the young moms one on one, to talk to them and offer them hope for the situation that they face. If the father is in the picture, he too can be offered hope in that scary situation that they were not expecting to happen.

How about volunteering down at the local soup kitchen, if there is one in your area, and talk to the people who come through, sit and listen to their stories of how they wound up where they are. Prayers can be lifted up for them, the hope of what Jesus can do for their life can be opened up to them. Sometimes all people may be looking for is a listening ear, and a great big hug can go a long way.

Taking the time to listen to that person who has been led astray to what the word of God says about men and women and how he created each one of us in that way, our own unique way, no two being the same. If you are able to, how about opening up your home to that single mom who just needs a place to stay until she can get on her feet to start over from that abusive relationship that she was in. She may be a little frightened and you could be her voice to get her steered in the right direction for some legal counselling. Offering her and her child/children prayer so that they know there is always hope that she will be able to stand on her feet again.

Let the Lord guide and direct you in each and every situation that may come your way, in every situation we are to be God's hands extended and be used for His glory in the best way possible. There are so many different ways that we can be a voice for others and there are so many different ways that we can help others who made that little bit of extra help just to get them back on their feet again. So girlfriends, let's be that voice for others, and let's help one another along the way, because we just never know when we may need the favor returned back to us one day, Amen? God bless you!

Let's Pray,

Father God, You are an awesome God and worthy to be praised each and every day. Lord, I lift up all the unborn babies, Lord continue to use us to be their voice in which they cannot speak for themselves. Lord, let us be the voice for the elderly who want to be heard but are sometimes put in a home and are forgotten. Lord, help us to be able to continue to help the poor and the needy as we continue to donate food and money to our local food banks. Lord, help us to stand up in greater prayer to be a voice for all of these people and all the others that we may know. Lord, help each of us to be Your hands and feet as we share the love of Jesus and Your gospel message wherever we go, in the Mighty name of Jesus. Let us never forget who our provider is and where our provision comes from and that we must pass it on to others in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed sweet girlfriends, and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on.
