But God told Samuel, "Looks aren't everything. Don't be impressed with his looks and stature. I've already eliminated him. God judges persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; God looks into the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 The Message Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Not too many years ago, I remember this couple that seemed to be so perfectly matched for each other, they were always dressed in matching colors, everywhere they went people would notice them and comment on how well they looked together, they had it all together, but did they really? They were out in the community helping people, living life just like every one else, making a life for themselves, when a few years later things began to change a little. People didn't see them together as much, and of course like any town, the talk would get around, questions would be asked, people were wondering what had happened, they seemed so right for each other.

As we all know, we don't always know everyone's full story and what is really going on, do we. As time went on, people had noticed the husband was not coming around at all and the woman was living on her own, as things quieted down, it didn't seem to important any more. It kind of reminds me of a romance novel, the cover always looks intriguing but the story might not end up as good as the outside cover had looked.

Girlfriends, that's a lot like our lives isn't it, everything may look good on the outside, but in reality there are things that are going on that other people do not know, because we tend to hide things or pretend it's not really there, that way we don't have to deal with it. I had to laugh when a friend of mine told me this old saying, "Love is blind but the neighbors aren't." Sometimes it's easier for other people on the outside to see things sooner than we do because we are in the situation.

God wants us to know that He is a heart God, and He knows all about what's going on inside of us, and if there is something going on in us that we have not dealt with and held onto it for many years, that He is there to help us through it, we just have to give it over to Him and He will take care of it. He wants us to always remember...that He went to the cross so that we would not have to carry anything, and that we would be forgiven of whatever that thing might be. Someone might be dealing with a smoking addiction, a drinking addiction, a drug addiction, a sexual addiction, how about a pride issue, a controlling everything issue. God wants us to lay it at His feet because He went to the cross for all of these things so that we would not have to be burdened with them anymore, He wants us to let these things go and give them to Him. It's the same with all of our life's hurts, pain, disappointments, give them over to Him and He will take care of it and give back to us love, joy and peace. God will give us everything that we need, it is just that easy. God tells us in His word, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Whatever you are burdened with or carrying, give it to Jesus.

Let's Pray,

Dear Heavenly Father, I am so thankful for who you are and that you went to the cross for each and every one of us so that we can be free of all of life's troubles that weigh us down sometimes. I say to all of you who has been carrying things for quite some time, that today as you give them over to Jesus, you will feel the lightness as oppression and depressions leaves you in the Mighty name of Jesus. To the ones that have been holding onto addictions, as you give them to Jesus and let Him have them, a warmth of love, joy and peace will flood your soul as you will know that you are totally set free in Jesus Mighty name. I thank you Lord for the things that are broken off of these people today as they are totally set free, in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed sweet girlfriends and pass on the blessings. Let other know what the Lord has done for you, and they will see the new you.
