But if you are unwilling to follow the Lord, then decide today whom you will obey. Will it be the gods of your ancestors beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites here in this land? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

There was so much excitement as my sister and I had met up to go to the town market that was being put on. Walking through the front door, the smells of food was in the air, chatter of talking from the line of people waiting for their tickets, aromas wafted through the air of essential oils from one of the tables inside. When it was finally our turn to receive our ticket, I felt like a horse being let through the gate, as I was off and running to see what was inside.

Being a girl of fashion, I knew there would be all kinds of things that would catch my eye, I knew that I had came with a certain amount of money, so I knew I had to choose wisely of my purchases. Coming to these markets for several years in a row, my money soon depleted after a few tables, seeing so many fabulous items, my will power was not very strong from buying everything I saw.

After a few years I learned, that making a grand tour around the building and looking at what each vendor had to offer, was a better way of doing things than buying the first thing at sight. Too often I could get caught up in the moment and sometimes I would end up spending more than what I had originally allowed myself to.

Girlfriends, how many of you have had this experience, I'm sure most of us has. My brother-in-law once said that I am like a crow, I am attracted to anything that is shiny. I love my brother-in-law, wait.. he's my only brother-in-law. After a few years of buying the next new curling iron that came out, another one would come right behind it saying it could do this and that to your hair, so I would buy that one too. Going to second hand shops are so much fun, but just because the prices are cheap, it doesn't take long to fill a cart with "stuff."

Our enemy, the devil, wants to keep us broke and always wanting the next new thing that comes out on the market. It is no different from the person who sits on the stool as they gamble their money away, or the person who runs to the store where they buy that "big brown bottle," and the one who needs that fix just to get them through the day. The enemy is always lurking to see who he can get hooked onto something that he knows will take a person down, in hopes that he can keep them at the bottom of wherever they are at. The word says, he is like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour, (1 Peter 5:8) but the first part of that scripture also tells us to be sober minded and alert. We need to be quick to see what he is up to, because when we know what his plans are for us, which is ruination, we will tend to be a lot more cautious in what we are doing, we have to be.

Galatians 6:7-8 tells us, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." Each and every person has a choice in life what road they want to take, and like each purchase that we make we need to ask ourselves whether it is a need or a want. That is what I had learned to do when out shopping at the markets or just in every day shopping.

Picture in your minds two roads, one is on the left that many people are on, there is fun, partying, gambling, drugs alcohol, sexual activities, closed door activities that is all leading to your destruction. On the road to the right there are only a few people travelling on it, but this road is leading to the cross, salvation, forgiveness, and life eternal which is in heaven. The choice is always going to be up to each individual to make, no one can make it for them. This choice can be made by asking oneself if it is a need or a want, and in this case my friend, it is definitely a need, that is if you want to live in a place where there will be no more death, sorrow, crying or pain, (Rev. 21:4-5) all the former things will be gone and God will make all things new.

Girlfriends, if you know someone who is on that road that is leading them down that slippery slope, please be that special someone and share the love of Jesus and His gospel to them and what He has to offer, it could mean them making the most important choice of their life, Amen?

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank You for another day to praise You. Lord, I thank You for salvation and that You died for each and every person and You gave each and every one of us our very own free will to make choices in our life. Lord, I pray for that one who has not made the choice to serve You yet. Lord, I ask that You would send someone to that person right now to share Your gospel message with them today. Lord, go ahead of that person and prepare the other's one heart to receive what will be said. Let their ears and heart be open to receive in the Mighty name of Jesus. Lord, let that person feel Your presence in the room as they are listening to Your gospel message as they choose this day whom they will serve and I thank You in advance in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings of Jesus on to others. Thank you for passing this message on to others as well.
