Go out! Go out! Prepare the roadway for my people to return! Build the roads, pull out the boulders, raise the flag of Israel. Isaiah 62:10 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Standing back, as we watched the day by day process of seeing our new property being cleared of trees and brush, to make an opening for our families home to be settled on the landing pad that would have to be made. Family members came to help, with their chainsaws, taking down big trees, small trees any brush that was in the way, and as the trees fell, they were quickly cut up into pieces and thrown onto the back of a trailer to be taken away.
A friend of my father's, came in with his bulldozer to dig up the ground making it level, as he dug up big rocks that eroded up from the ground, they were piled to the side to be carried away in a dump truck. Truck load after truck load of fill was brought in to make the landing pad for the house, and since the land was full of ledge, it took a few more loads of gravel than expected for everything to be level and smoothed out.
Many hours, many days and a lot of sweat went into getting this land prepared for us to be able to move our home onto it, so that this little family could finally get settled in. How exciting it was to watch the huge machine that had come to dig the well, digging a hundred and twenty five feet before they struck water, another task was done. There was one last task to be done before our home could be moved, and that was the septic had to be put in, and we would be ready for the big move.
Girlfriends, as I remember back when this was all taking place, it was the time that my father had given me a piece of his land, as he had it prepared for me, not long before he had passed away. He had wanted me to have this land as a part of my inheritance, knowing that I would have a place of my own to call home. Even though we did not have a good relationship over the years, it was at the end of his life that he wanted to make sure that his daughter had something to call her own, maybe it was his way of making things up to me, I don't know.
The last night I had seen him alive, was the first time I ever remember giving my father a hug and telling him that I loved him. Tears had filled his eyes that night, and even though he did not say those words back to me, his tears had said it all, I knew. It was in those moments that I was letting all of the anger go, resentment go, maybe even hatred go that I had towards my father because of the way I was raised. Over the last of those years I had tried to have a closer relationship with my dad, but it wasn't until that last night that everything had been washed away, as I left in peace that night along with the feeling that it would be the last time I would see him alive.
As I look back during the time that all of the fill that was brought to make the landing pad for our home, more than that was expected had to be brought in, it took a little more work. Sometimes it is the same with us after we have let some things go that we have held onto from relationships, whether friendships, relationships or a relationship with a parent, a little extra work has to be done within the heart. A little extra healing needs to take place after the forgiving part has been done, there may be extra things that need to be removed before you are completely set free, just a few more steps need to be taken before everything is smoothed out and dealt with inside of us.
I'm so thankful that God does not expect us to get ourselves all cleaned up before we invite Him into our heart, He tells us to come to Him just as we are, then He will help us each day as we allow Him to, to get us all cleaned up. Isaiah 55:1-3 tells us to, "Come , all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come buy and eat!" It's a process that takes place as we allow our Heavenly Father to help us get rid of any anger we have held onto, resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy that has been buried way down deep. When we allow Jesus to do the work in us to get us cleaned up, we will be totally set free and will be able to shine like never before.
All of these steps that we take for ourselves to get cleaned up, is preparing the way for us to go out into the world and help others who may be going through the very same thing. God will use us to draw people to the one who can help them, which is Jesus Christ Himself. James 4:6-8 tells us, "But He gives us more grace. That is why scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you. wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
The Lord is letting us know that when we humble ourselves to Him, come to Him with an open heart, He will come to us and show us favor, He will help us through any situation, He will help us with any situation we may be dealing with. He calls the people who think that they don't have any issues or any problems or don't need any help, those are the proud. God is willing to help us any time that we are willing to receive His help, if that is you today, then He is ready to come to you. Let Him in to do the cleaning up, clearing out that needs to be done, so that you too can go out and help others be set free.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I praise you for another day to breathe and speak the name of Jesus. Lord, I thank you for all of the work that you have done in me, to make me who I am today. Lord, I want to shine always for you, as you send me out to help others who are in need. Lord, I declare that you are drawing more and more souls unto yourself, and as they allow you to do the work within them, they too will shine like never before as they go out into the world sharing what you have done for them, and I thank you in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on in hopes that it may help others.
