Come Back Home

I hear voices high upon the windswept mountains, crying, crying. It is the sons of Israel who have turned their backs on God and wandered far away. O my rebellious children, come back to me again and I will heal you from your sins. Jeremiah 3:22 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Every Sunday that my mother did not have to work, off we would go to Sunday School and Church, singing songs about how much Jesus loves us, listening to the Minister tell us about all the miracles that happened in Jesus' day while on the earth.

At the age of fifteen, I went to a summer Christian camp with one of my best friends, and what a time we had. Teenagers from all over different parts of the country had come for a fun filled week, as we learned more about the God who created us for purpose and destiny.

Being married at a very young age, right out of high school, turned into a life of going going the wrong way, down a path that was not what God had purposed for my life. Being a young mom with two small children, I was introduced to the life of partying on the weekends, going to the bar to hang out, which led to a divorce and a young mother on her own to raise two small children.

A second marriage took place, with baby number three that came along, with her beautiful thick dark hair and little chubby cheeks, which lasted five long years until divorce number two came.

it wasn't until just before my third marriage, God had completely delivered me from smoking, drinking and wanting to party, then I had wanted to make things right by getting married instead of living together with the man I was going to be married to. I was now at the age of thirty-one when my life began to take that shift. At the age of thirty-two I gave birth to a healthy little baby girl and that is when I had made my declaration to God that I was returning back to Him and I have never ever looked back.

Girlfriends, in our key verse this is what Jeremiah was talking about, hearing the cries of the people who had turned their back on God, living their own life partying, worshipping idols, having orgies, living a life of sin, until they realized that they were weary and tired of living this kind of life, they were going no where. This was exactly how I had felt when I was into my third marriage and another little one on the way, my life was going no where and I wanted a change.

God was calling the Israelites back to Him, as He heard all of their cries from the wilderness, God was telling them that if they came back to Him, He would heal them of their sins. the Israelites realized and admitted that they had done wrong, dishonored their God and that they would come back to Him.

Girlfriends, God is saying to you today, to those of you who have wandered far away into a life of sin of all kinds, He is telling you today to come back home to Him, as your heavenly Father and He will heal you of your sins, if you are serious about it, repent and ask Him to take control of your life as He leads you to your life of purpose and destiny. Girlfriends, God is a God of honor and truth and He will fulfill His promises of what He says. He will heal you, deliver you from all sins, unrighteousness, He will lead you in the right direction that leads to a better life of love and mercy, as well as to a life with purpose, won't you come home to Him today? I cannot express to you, how much I love my Lord and Savior and how my life had been dramatically changed since I was redirected into a life with purpose.

Father God, I praise you and I worship you for there is no other God like you. You are my strength and my shield, you protect me and provide for me in every situation. Lord, I lift up to you, every dear and precious soul to you today who is here with us, that they too would be willing to come back home to you because they are tired of living a life that is going no where. Lord, I speak strength over each of them to say yes as they surrender themselves to you. Lord, you love them with unconditional love, and no matter what they have done or where they have been, you are standing in the doorway with your arms open wide, saying my daughter, my son welcome home, I love you and I forgive you. I pray this in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
