Come Go With Me

Good Morning Girlfriends:

The other day as I was typing out the message for a devotion, when a friend of mine called me, asking if I would want to go with her for a drive. Explaining over the phone to her that I would be awhile, she offered to wait so I could go. Finishing what I need to do, and getting myself ready, I jumped in the car and off we went. What was an hour drive to our destination, flew right by as we chatted about some deep things of the Lord and just talk in general, we were there before we knew it.

We had stopped at many different beautiful shops, seeing so many wonderful and beautiful things, my friend was on a mission to find something different to put over her fireplace. Before we went any further we stopped at this cute little restaurant that had an amazing and wonderful smell coming right at us as soon as we opened the door. Enjoying our very tasty lunch and our conversation, we thought we had better move on before the meter ran out where she was parked.

Our next stop was to a familiar and wonderful second hand shop, which always has amazing and beautiful pieces on display of china and crystal and so much more. We headed onto another shop that was set up in an old Victorian home with a huge chandelier hanging right there as soon as we walked in, what a sight to behold, it sure was for me anyway. Our next stop was right next door to another old Victorian home that was an Art Gallery, with so many different types of paintings and drawings that was hung on the walls to each room as well as on the wall that took us to the second floor. That is where we met a man in one of the rooms, that was one of the artists which had many paintings on display, he was at his easel working on another at that moment. What a joy it was to actually meet the person to the paintings, and watch how a canvas could be brought to life.

Girlfriends, I have to say that our day was full, exploring and experiencing so many different and wonderful things, but isn't that the way life is when we follow Him. When we give our life to Jesus, each and every day we experience new things, new adventures as we learn about who He is and what He has done for us as well as what He wants to do for us. As we journey with Jesus, He is the leader and we are His followers as we learn how to be more and more like Him. The deeper our relationship is with Him, the closer we learn of His ways, the more He will shine through us, so that others will see only Him.

Jesus leads by example, the closer we are to Him, others will see that same Jesus in us and it will draw others to Him because they will want what we have. Just like it says in our key verse there will come a day when we will not have to teach our neighbors, our family, because as we lead by example, people will already know Him and then they will be on their own journey with the Lord. What an exciting adventure it is to follow Jesus, the more we learn and study Him, the more we get cleaned up in the process, it's like a "domino effect." Things begin to fall into place in our lives when we totally surrender everything in our lives over to Him, what a beautiful masterpiece we are as we allow Jesus to do His handiwork in us. Won't you come along on the journey, you will not regret one moment!

Father God, What a glorious day to praise You for all You are. Lord I lift my praise up to the one and only God. I have to thank You for all of the wonderful and marvelous changes You have made in me and in my life, it could have never happened without You. Lord, I lift up each individual to You who wants and needs a wonderful touch and a personal experience with You. Lord, let each one be open to all the wonderful things that You have for them. Lord, I ask that You would show Yourself to them in a way that only You can do, so that there would be no other way to explain it but as a total "God experience." Lord, I thank You in advance for what You are doing in each of our lives, and I praise You in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
