Come Naked Before The Lord

For there is going to come a time when people won't listen to the truth but will go around looking for teacher who will tell them just what they want to hear. They won't listen to what the Bible says, but will blithely follow their own misguided ideas. Stand steady, and don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Bring others to Christ. Good Morning Girlfriends:

I received a text message that two of my granddaughter's wanted to come for a sleep over at Grammy Darla's house on the weekend, so I began to think of some things that we could do together. Saturday afternoon they arrived with their over night bags, a bag of toys, and their step brother and sister had come along for the drive. One of my granddaughter's asked if they could come in to see my house before they left to go back home. After being taken on the grand tour of being showed around, they sat for a moment while I talked to their mother as we made arrangements for the next day.

It wasn't long before they had all their things put away in the spare room where they would be sleeping, when they started right in on asking me questions about God. The oldest one asked me if it was okay to listen to certain kinds of music and songs, thinking about how I was going to answer her, I used a demonstration so that she could make the conclusion for herself.

First I asked her if she was wanting to live for the Lord, then I pretended to sit on a fence as I explained that one of my feet was in the world listening to songs with bad language in it and watching bad movies and my other foot was listening to music that praised and worshipped God, and watching Christian movies. My next question to her was, "if we are wanting to live for the Lord, do you think that God would want us to listen and watch bad things that are not about Him, that are not honoring Him?" She immediately responded with the correct answer "No," as she decided to go to the bedroom and erase some music that was downloaded on her phone.

These two girls were asking all kinds of questions about friends at school, to Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, what they should do in certain situations, it was like they were letting it all out, they were coming "undone" by asking about all the things they were wondering about. As we were sitting around the table about to eat our meal, I had asked the oldest one if she wanted to pray, in which she did, and then I came beside them and began to pray over them, asking God to download things into them that were of Him, so that they would be used for His glory, to go wherever they were to be a witness for God, that they would speak words of wisdom to help bring people to the Lord.

Girlfriends, that is what God is looking from us today, is to come to Him like a little child, to come undone, honest and open before Him, holding nothing back as we allow Him to work not only on us but in us well. There is nothing sweeter than the openness and innocence of a child and if we are God's children, then that is what He is looking from us. He wants us to come boldly before Him and let Him know what is on our minds, asking Him questions about the things of Him and how He expects us to live, so that others will see Him through us.

If we truly want to live for Him, we must be open and honest with Him as we seek Him through His word, learning everything we can about Him and how He wants us to live. We can pretend, we can hide things about ourselves, but what's the use, He already knows everything about us. (Read Psalm 139, 1 Sam. 16:7) God knows our true hearts, He knows our thoughts even before we think them, He knows our very intentions, read 1 Chronicles 28:9.

The Lord is looking for us to be completely open with Him, honest with Him, to seek Him with all seriousness. If we are to serve the Lord with everything that we are, then we must be completely undone before Him as we allow Him to heal all of those broken places, not being ashamed before our God. We must allow Him to clean us up from the inside out as we are being transformed day by day into the likeness of God. How do we become transformed, it's by the renewing of our mind, Romans 12:2, as we get into the word of God, we learn what it is to be more and more like Christ as He teaches through His word on the way we are to act towards others.

We are all walking this road we call "Life" together, so let us help one another and love one another, John 13:34-35, as we encourage one another to keep pressing towards the mark to the prize of the high calling of Christ Jesus. (Philip. 3:14-21) When we are speaking to others, let us only speak God's truth to them, so that they will not be led astray, but that they will walk in truth, read Matthew 18:6. Proverbs 5:23 also tells us, "Above all else, guard your affections. For they influence everything else in your life." Again this goes back to a statement I had made to my grandchildren about what we are watching and listening to, is it good or bad, the choice is ours.

Girlfriends, it is really quite simple, if we want to live a life that is pleasing to God, and walk in the ways that represent Him so that others will see Him through us, then we must be completely open and pure before the Lord so that His light will shine through us, Amen, Amen!

Father God, I sing praises to your name, I give you glory and honor. I thank you for this wonderful day. Even when the internet acts up, you are still worthy of our praise. Lord, I pray for each dear soul who is here reading this today, that they would take a moment to check themselves to see what is is they truly want for their life. Who it is that they want to serve, You or the devil. Where they would like to live their life when their last mile has been run, heaven or hell. Let each one search their own heart as only they can make that choice for themselves. Lord, I pray that each one would choose life, and that means choosing You as their personal Lord and Savior, it is just that simple, everyone has been given a free will. So today dear one, let this be the day that you choose Jesus, He is the only way to eternal life in heaven. He is the way, the truth and the life, John 14:6. Lord, I declare that as each one comes undone and gets real with You, they will experience a change within that they had never thought possible, they will see with new eyes, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
