Coming Out Of It

"We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams." Genesis 40:8 NIV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

All snuggled down under the cozy warm blankets, I began to very slowly, level by level, layer by layer began to come out of this dream that I was having. Almost feeling very foggy, fuzzy, kind of numb feeling in my body as I began to open my eyes, there remained quite a heaviness over my body as I tried to wake up, as my cat Oliver was meowing beside my bed.

With heavy eyes, I continued for a few moments to close my eyes to rest in the heaviness that I was still feeling, but knowing in the back of my mind I had to get up and start my day to be in town at a certain time, I had to make myself roll out of bed in an unwanting way, you know the feeling.

As my feet padded up the hall, with Oliver in tow, I was pondering in my mind what this dream was all about. Trying to remember all the other little dreams I knew that I had as well, some were not as clear as others were, now I would have to take some time to sit before the Lord in order to make sense of it all and what He was showing me.

I'm sure we have all been in this kind of a "dream state" before, being in such a deep sleep, as things are being revealed to us while we are in the "sleep mode," then to figure it all out in order to come up with an answer to it all. That is what happened to the wine taster and the baker that had dreams, they had each shared their dreams with Joseph to interpret them so they would know what they meant. Just as the wine tasters dream had a good interpretation, a good out come, that is how our dreams can be as well, but there are times that we may be dreaming something that can be a warning dream, with "a not so good outcome," like the baker. Read Genesis 40:1-19.

Girlfriends, this one of the way that God will speak to us, to show us things that we may have been wondering about, unanswered questions can come in a dream, explanations to who someone is or what they are all about can come in a dream. Just as Joseph had remembered his dream about the spies who were trying to see where the land was unprotected. (Gen. 42:9) Something that may have happened in the past can have an explanation to it as to what it was all about, why it happened. Sometimes God will show us something that is going to happen in the future, further up the road, and it is important to take some time to sit quietly and meditate on what He is showing us so that we can have the understanding of it, and if you are like me, I always want to know what things mean.

Do you remember what it was like when you came out of darkness of living in the world, to coming into the glorious light of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for you. That is when we can refer to the scripture found in 2 Cor. 6:17, when God said to come out from among them, we came out of our old way of living when we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. We were once one of them, (1 Cor. 6:11) but when we received Jesus we became a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17) and came out from living in our old ways, into a way that reflects more like Jesus.

Jesus may be calling you to come out of that relationship that is going no where and it is not for you, because He has a better plan for you that will bring such joy to you. The Lord may be using a special person to help you to come out of deception from all the lies that has been spoken to you that the enemy has been using through other people. The Lord may be calling you to come out of the darkness of the world and come into His glorious light as He sheds His love all over you, so that you will see who God sees you as a child of God. God loves you with an unconditional love, that can only be experienced from the Heavenly Father, it doesn't matter what your past looks like, He came to the cross and gave His life for you and others just like you. Jesus is calling you to come out of it, whatever you are in and come to Him, His open loving arms, He is ready for you, are you ready for Him?

Father God, I lift up the glorious name of Jesus. I thank you Lord, that you so loved the world that you gave your only son to die on the cross for us, so that we would be saved. Precious Jesus, you have showed such unconditional love to us by laying down your life for each and every one of us. You showed us the way to come out of darkness and into the light, which you are the way and the only way to eternal freedom. Lord I lift up that sweet soul who has been standing on the edge of making that important decision of excepting you into their heart, Lord I pray that you would visit that person with your divine presence as your love envelopes them from the top of their head to the souls of their feet, as they surrender their life over to you so that they too will know what it is like to come out of darkness and into the light, as to see things in a whole new way, in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
