You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body, and knit them together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous-and how well I know it. Psalm 139:13-14 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Recently I was reading a story of a Sunday School Teacher doing a demonstration with some dough, gingerbread man cookie cutters and a rolling pin, telling the children that the gingerbread man had a story to tell. As the teacher formed the dough into a ball, using the rolling pin to roll out the dough then using the cookie cut to cut the dough into the shape of a gingerbread man. Have you ever noticed that when you make drop cookies they tend to be just a little bit different shape and size? The teacher went on to ask the children to look at their cookie asking them if each was the same color and the same shape. The teacher then asked each of the children to look at each other, as the question was asked if each of them had the same color skin, same color hair, were they all the same shape and size. The teacher then asked them, who made you? The teacher said to them, "you saw me roll out the dough and cut it out with the cookie cutter, but who made you?' The teacher read Psalm 139:13-14 to them, asking them if God had used a cookie cutter, then explaining that God made each of them individually different and special in their own way, each one was made of God's own special design. If God wanted them to look alike, He would have made them that way, He took the time to make them just the way they are and that they are very special in His sight.

Now I do not know how old these children were, and this is a very simple lesson to us as adults, but I think sometimes we may lose sight of this, that we were all created by the Father, and that if He wanted us to all look alike He would have used a cutter. There may be times that we are mocked and made fun of who we are, but we need to remember the one who created us and that when He did He saw it is good, because we were created in His own image. (Genesis 1)

Girlfriends, each of you were created by the Father and when He looked at you, He saw that you were good, He like how He created you. Instead of looking at ourselves and looking for all the things that we think is wrong with us, let's turn that around and make a list of all the good things about us, all the things that we see as good. Can you think of at lest ten things that you like about yourself and make a list. What some features about you that you like, what are some things that you are good at? Some people are put down because they can think for themselves, but it is wonderful when a person can and does not need to follow the crowd or think that they need to to fit in. Jesus didn't fit in, He didn't look the way the Scribes thought he should. They mocked Him just the same always trying to trip Him up, but that didn't stop Him from being who He was, He came from the Father.

The next time anyone says anything negative about you, look at them and tell then that you are special, you are loved by Jesus and that He loves them too, and see what kind of response you get. It just might be a door opener for you to share the love of Jesus to that person, because all the while they don't really feel good about themselves. God can turn a situation right around in your favor but it will be for His glory, Amen.

Here are a list of scriptures that each of can read to remind us of how God made us and who He says we are...Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:13, Colossians 1:16, Genesis 1:26, Ephesians 2:10, Jeremiah 1:5, Romans 5:8, Genesis 1:31, Job 33:4, John 3:16. Each of us need to remind ourselves how God created us, how He made us in our own unique way and if He loves us this way then we should love ourselves the way we are as well.

Not only on the outwards appearance, but on the inside as well, as we allow God to mold and shape us more and more into His likeness, the way we treat ourselves will be the way we treat others and the way we will see others as Jesus does. So let us look after ourselves, loving ourselves and then we can do the same for others who may need to know about this Jesus who created them as well, Amen.

Let's Pray,

Father God, we are your creation each and every one of us and I praise you for that. Lord when you created us You saw that it was good. You knew what You were doing. I thank You Lord that You made each of us in our own unique way, You did not use a cookie cutter and each of us is very special to You. Lord, use each of us in our own unique way to share Your love with people that have never experienced You yet. Lord I pray over those dear special ones, that they would have their own road to Damascus experience with You, to know who You truly are and how You see them. Let them feel Your loving, warm presence in a new way, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessing on to others and let them know that God loves them.
