But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
As I sit and reflect on different accounts that have taken place in my lifetime, things I have seen, conversations that I have listened to and what is still going on in today's society, there is something lacking and that is "love."
Many times I have watched my children when they were younger as they were learning to ride a bike for the first time, the many falls and scraped elbows and knees that came with it, most times all it would take to stop those little tears from rolling down the cheeks would be a bandage and a soft warm hug so that they could get back on that bike to try again.
Those teenage years of boyfriend and girlfriends, one or the other making the decision to break off the relationship, then comes the tears of hurt, disappointment and aguish of possibly starting all over again. Still today, as one is older in life , we still see relationships that end with leaving one in a state of confusion, anxiety, terrified for their life, as well as resentment that sometimes comes along with that pile of baggage that trails along behind.
Being a witness to a situation, adults and children were being asked not to hug a certain person because they had come through some trauma in their young life, in which they didn't know how to handle a hug from someone or process the correct response to a hug.
My heart goes out to people that are hurting today, and there are so many that are hurting. Girlfriends, it is our responsibility as followers of Jesus, but not only that, it is a privilege to show the love of Jesus to the hurting, the broken, the down hearted, the lost and the lonely. 1 John 4:16 says, "Whoever lives in love, lives in God, and God is in them." 1 Peter 4:8 says, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins." John 13:34 tells us, "My commandment to this, Love each other as I have loved you." "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love." 1 Cor. 13:3
God has already assured us in His word that we are not alone in this world, that He is there with us when we are going through hardship, scary situations, He is always there. ( Isaiah 41:10, Hebrews 4:6, 1 John 4:18. 1 John 4:10, and Deut. 31:6)
Girlfriends, we may not be able to get a physical hug from Jesus Himself, but the next best thing to it would be from a loving friend or family member. There may be even times that a stranger may look at a person and say, "I don't know why, but I feel like you just need a hug," and that is the one thing that can start the healing process in the soul of a hurting person, Amen?
If you come in contact with a person, who you can tell is hurting, be the hands and feet of Jesus extended to share His love with them, and let them know that everything will be okay as you offer them a prayer and a hug, you never know what that may do for that person. When the love of Jesus is in us, it will surely show.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I praise You this morning for life that has been extended in every breath that I take. Lord, I lift up every dear, sweet soul today that is hurting. I take authority over that spirit of anxiety and fear in Jesus name and I break it off in the mighty name of Jesus and send it packing back to the pit of hell. Lord let the healing balm of Gilead wash over them from the top of their heads to the souls of their feet and heal every place that needs healed in Jesus name. Lord let them be a witness to what they have just experienced by the one who loves them with an everlasting love and that is You Jesus. I thank You in advance for the many testimonies to come, in Jesus name, Amen.
Be blessed sweet ones and pass the blessings on. I thank you in advance for passing this message on.
