He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3 TLB
Good Morning Girlfriends:
This morning I would like to share a woman's story, that I know very well, and hold very close to my heart, the hurt that she went through, but didn't stay there. Without mentioning her name, her name will be Linda. Linda and her husband had been married about a year and a half, when a friend of theirs asked them to go to a meeting with her, as she explained there would be people there who God uses to give prophetic words. This means they may say something about what is happening in their present life or something to come in the future. There were several people that came forward that night that received a word from God, Linda and her husband also received words that were spoken about things that were going on in their life at the present time and also words were spoken about things that were to come.
They left that night quite excited, talking about the event that just took place, as they were trying to figure it all out. These messages were taped, so Linda wrote it all out so she could go over it. Let's skip ahead about another year and a half, as I remember things were changing a bit in their lives at this point, things were not going so well. Linda was living at home and her husband was living in a temporary place, and their life took a drastic turn, where Linda knew what they were supposed to do, things were clear to her but her husband was too scared to make the step, as he decided he couldn't be married any more and they each went their own way. Linda was heartbroken and tried everything to fix this mess, but it was to no avail. The prophetic words that had been spoken over Linda and her husband years before, had partly come true, but not all of it because her husband had backed out of their relationship and the ministry that they were called to do.
To this day girlfriends, Linda still hurts at times, but she didn't want to stay in that spot, she wanted to go on with what she knew she was supposed to do. Each and everyone of us goes through hurt and pain, as things don't turn out the way we thought they would go, there are times it feels just like we have had the wind knocked out of us and can't breathe. As a mother, how many times do we see our children run to us because they have fell down and hurt themselves, and what do we do...put a band-aid on it and give them a hug and a kiss to make it all better. In the dictionary it say a band-aid is a piece of material to cover and bind up the wound. Even though a broken heart is a spiritual wound, God is our healer and He binds up our wounds and heals us. He is our spiritual Father who binds up all of our wounds, and heals our hurts and broken places, He is our covering, as it says in Psalms 91:4, God is our protector, He is our daddy that we can run to when we are hurting, as a child goes to their earthly parents.
Even though from time to time Linda has flashes of what happened that didn't stop her from moving forward after getting the love and healing she needed from her heavenly Father, she has moved on to help others who are hurting and may need a little tender loving care. Linda is God's hands extended to help the lost, the hurting and those in need of some comforting and reassurance that everything will be okay. Read Psalms 91 and meditate on the words to let it sink in to who God is to us and for us.
Let's Pray,
Precious Jesus, I thank you that you continued on with your fathers plan to die on the cross so that we may be saved. I thank you Lord that you never give up on us and that you are always there for us at the mention of your name, all we have to do is call out your name and you are there to help, heal, deliver and set free. Lord I lift all of those who are hurting today, Lord I ask that you would lay you healing hand on their heart right now, as your healing power goes through them to bind up and heal all of those hurts as they release them to you in the Mighty name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
Be blessed sweet ladies, and pass the blessings on to others.
