For I'm going to do a brand new thing. See, I have already begun! Don't you see it? I will make a road in the wilderness of the world for my people to go home, and create rivers for them in the desert! Isaiah 43:19 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
As I sit an think about the different accounts in the Bible of all the many miracles Jesus had performed, I can't help but stand in awe of Him because He is still the same today, He never changes. (Hebrews 13:8) Let's take a look at a few of the miracles that took place when Jesus stepped onto the scene. These accounts are when Jesus was born and walked the earth.
The very first one that I was thinking about was the very day that Jesus was born, He was born from a virgin, men had come from many miles away just to see this baby for they believed that He was the Messiah that the prophets had prophesied was coming.
Jesus' very first miracle was at a wedding and they had run out of wine. His mother Mary had to ask Jesus to doing something, she was asking Him to perform a miracle in which she knew that He could do it and she believed that He was ready to perform the miracle and as He did, the wine was better than the first batch which was manmade. Everything is better with Jesus.
Jesus was entering Capernaum when a Centurion came to Him asking for help. He had told Jesus that his servant was at home and laid paralyzed, and was suffering terribly. Jesus asked the Centurion id he wanted Jesus to come to his home to heal the servant. The Centurion had said that he didn't think he was worthy for Jesus to come to his home, but he believed that if Jesus just spoke the word, his servant would be healed. That is what Psalm 107:20 says, "He sent the word and healed them." The account of the Centurion can be found in Matt. 8:5-13.
I can't help but think of Mary Magdalene who was a prostitute and was had many demons, but all it took was one encounter with Jesus and she was set free from everyone of them. The glow that must have been on her face and the gratitude that would have been in her heart, because she no longer was tortured and terrorized. Her mind was set free.
Then there was the woman in the Bible with the issue of blood. She had been hemorrhaging for twelve long years, she had spent every cent that she had going back and forth to Doctors trying to get help. Then one day when she heard that Jesus would be passing through town, she had so much faith in this Jesus, that she had crawled her way through the crowd of people, being too weak to even walk, touching just the hem of Jesus' robe, she was instantly healed and Jesus knew someone had touched Him. It was said that He had felt virtue go from His body. It was stated that the woman stood up straight because she was healed. (Luke 8:43-48)
We could go on and on talking about all of the miracles that took place when Jesus steps onto the scene, but girlfriends, have you ever thought about when a person gives their heart to Jesus for the very first time, and the changes that begins to take place within their heart. 1 Cor. 6:11 says, "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God." meaning we were once sinners but when we ask Jesus into our heart we are washed, sanctified and justified in Jesus name. 2 Cor. 5:17 says this, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here! We are no longer the way we once were, when we ask Jesus into our hearts and we allow Him to change the way we think and do things, we are a new creation, we see things in the light, we no longer live in darkness. (Ephesians 5:8)
Mark 11:23-24 (NLT) is a scripture I stand on for many things that I am praying and believing for. The scripture says, "I will tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours." There are many ways to look at miracles that happen in our lives. When you think about how a baby is created, that is quite a wonderful miracle all on its own. God is truly a miracle working God, and think about how He created this whole world, waters, skies, land animals, people all in six days, no wonder He needed a rest.
We serve a truly amazing, miracle, wonder working God, so what are you believing for today. Are you believing for a new job, are you believing for a broken marriage to be restored, or maybe even a new relationship to be opened up, for that son or daughter to come back to the Lord...Whatever it is, nothing is too difficult for God. (Jeremiah 32:27) When we praise the Lord in faith believing things will truly happen, so let's thank God in advance for situation to change for that child to come home, Amen?
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank and praise You for still being the wonder, working, miracle God that You are. You are still high upon Your throne and You are still doing miracles today. Let each of us just reach out in faith believing, just like the woman with the issue of blood did, she believed that she would receive. Lord let that be us, that we will receive what we are believing for today, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on, to bless others.
