Jehoshaphat asked the people for advice. Then he appointed men to sing to the Lord because of his glory and holiness. They marched out in front of the army. They said, "Give thanks to the Lord. His faithful love continues forever." 2 Chronicles 20:21 New International Reader's Version.

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Have you ever had one of those weeks where everything was coming at you, and you barely had time to breathe when something else would happen, I'm sure we all have. Driving my grand daughter to an job interview, a snow squall came up as we drove along the highway, we slowly made our way down the exit ramp coming to a gradual stop. The roads had become slippery with a new snow making it difficult for the person behind me to stop as he crashed into the back of my car. Getting everything worked out and filed, we continued onto the job interview.

Shopping for a new car seat to replace the was that was in the back seat of my car had to match for insurance purposes. Papers were sent out in case any therapy was needed from the crash, parts were ordered that needed to be replaced on my car. Visits back and forth to my daughters place as she was getting things straightened around to move back in after a wonderful, long stay at my house. One evening my grand daughter noticed that the power to the laundry room and the bathroom had suddenly went out, there was no power. Thankfully I had a friend to call that I knew, that would be able to figure out the problem.

One afternoon as my daughter and I had returned back to my place from cleaning at her house, a white truck drove in the yard and quickly after a knock came to the door as a young man stood there with papers in his hand. Moments later my grand daughter came through the door only to tell me that the power to the bathroom was gone again and the toilette was backed up and ready to over flow. The pain in my neck and shoulder was escalating.

Jehoshaphat had been given word that a huge army was coming from Edom to fight against him, and he was alarmed at the news. Immediately he went to the Lord and prayed, after telling the people of Judah to go without eating, he was seeking God for help. As he prayed, he also was declaring who God was , that God was the God over their people, He is the one who sits in heaven, God is the ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations. Jehoshaphat declared that God is strong and powerful, and that no one could fight against Him. He continued to declare all of the former things that God had done before. He reminded God that He had given the people the land in which they lived, and that no matter what came their way, they would serve God. He declared that as they called out to God, God would hear them and save them.

Girlfriends, as Jehoshaphat declared all the things that God was, realizing that he was nothing without God and that he needed God who was all power to fight this battle. The spirit of the Lord then came upon Jahaziel telling the men not to be afraid, do not lose hope because of the large army. The spirit of God continued to say that the battle was not their but it was God's. The spirit told them to take their positions and stand firm then they would see how God would save them. The men were told not to lose hope but to go out and face the army and that God would be with them. As they went out the next morning, it was then that men were sent to march ahead to sing praises unto their God, and when the rest of the soldiers came to the battle, there was nothing for them to do for they had been destroyed.

Maybe there are some of you that feels like there are things coming at you on all sides, things are falling apart and breaking down, and you are having a difficult time keeping up with it all. This is when we are to come to God with our hands and voices lifted high, declaring all of the things that God is. As we declare His word over our situations and praise Him for all of the things He has done for us in the past, we know that as we thank Him and praise Him, He will come through for us again. God is with us in the fight and He will fight for us, for the battle is His and the victory is ours, as it states in our key verse. it says in Ephesians 6:12 that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Girlfriends, let us together take our positions and declare the word of the Lord as we sing praises to Him and thank Him in advance for what He is about to do. The battle is the Lord's and the victory is yours. Watch how God will bring you through your battle, it may look like things are falling apart, but with God, He is making them fall right into place, Amen?

Let's Pray,

Father God we praise You today, we give thanks unto You for You and You alone are worthy of our praises. Lord, You have never changed, You are the same God yesterday, today and forever, You changeth not. Lord, I declare that as each dear one who is in a battle, raises their hands towards heaven with praises in their mouth as they declare the power of Almighty God, that they will see the victory of the Lord, who fights for them. Let each one declare with their mouth that the enemy is defearted and he is under their feet, and that it is their God who reigns and sits in heavenly places, He is the ruler over all, in the mighty name of Jesus, we shout the victory, in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed and pass the blessings on. Stand tall, stand brave and shout the victory!
