Get Serious

Abstain from every form of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Every week, a friend of mine and I get together on the phone to pray for whatever has been placed upon our hearts. This one night we were talking about the things we could see that was going on in the world and the many different reactions of people to the way things were being handled. Not saying everyone was right or everyone was wrong, but in some cases it kind of made you wonder, by some of the outcomes. In agreeance, we decided to pray that God would shed some light on theses situations in order to get things turned around.

Throughout my life, I have experienced much heartache and pain and as we were praying I had asked my friend to pray over my sinus' because it is something I told her I do each day, but I was thinking extra prayer wouldn't hurt. Sometimes there can be a hidden thing that causes things to reoccur, and I wanted to get to the bottom of it, so as we prayed we asked God to shed some light my way so it could be dealt with.

I believe we are living in a time that is way past due time, that we get serious with our life and with God. As you look at the world and the things that are going on, many people are being shaken, sifted, things are being dealt with all over the world in our governments, entertainment world, ministry, people in high places, and if we are honest with ourselves we should want to be able to stand before God holy and blameless as we allow God to sift us in order to deal with things that maybe have never been dealt with. It's time that the games were put aside, and allow God to dig deep within in order to deal with, and take care of some of the last hidden things that have been held onto. 1 Cor. 6:19 tells us that our bodies are not our own, our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit within us whom we have from God.

Girlfriends, when we get serious with God and allow Him to do in us what He wants to do, it only makes us a much better person in the long run. God will never do any thing to harm us because He only has good things for us. When we become serious about our Christian faith it only takes two things, loving God and loving others, but first let's get ourselves cleaned up from the inside out so that we can love others more deeply. There are also four other things that will help us to get serious with our Christian walk in general and that is each day to pray, read our Bible, worship and walk in faith. As we get deeper in the word of God and know what His word is, we will want to follow His standards and keep them high but without judging others, because not everyone is at the same place in their walk. Matthew 12:36 does tell us that on the day of Judgement people will give an account for every careless word they speak, so we do need to be careful of what we say towards others or about others, it is best just to pray for people.

These too are very serious accounts that is spoken in God's Word in Galatians 5:19-21 where it says, "Now the works of the flesh are evident, sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." Then over in Revelation 9:21 it says, "Nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts." We certainly do not want to be in this number or category , so now is the time more than ever because we are in the very last days, to surrender everything over to God, repent and get things cleaned out and cleaned up so that we can be His glorious church without spot or wrinkle, Amen!

Precious Jesus, I thank you Lord that you have been so gracious to us and have given us chance after chance to get things right with You. Lord I pray that the eyes of Your people, would come open now in Jesus name, so that we as Your people can go out and make a difference in the world to those who have not had an encounter with you yet. Lord, I thank You in advance for setting up the divine appointment to reach someone today that has never met You yet. Lord let there be one today that reads theses words, be filled with the desire of wanting to get to know You in a more personal way in the mighty name of Jesus and I thank you in Jesus name, Amen.
