Get Up There's Work To Be Done

I walked by the land of a certain lazy fellow and saw that it was overgrown with thorns, and covered with weeds; and its walls were broken down. Then, as I looked, I learned this lesson: "A little extra sleep, A little more slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest" means that poverty will break in upon you suddenly like a robber and violently like a bandit. Proverbs 24:30-31 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

There always seems to be an excitement in the air when I know that a day trip is being planned. When a location is finally decided, like the beach, a bag can quickly be packed full of goodies, with a coffee in hand, the day awaits for new exploring.

Driving along the back roads there always seems to be so much to look at, God's beautiful landscape that is laid out far and beyond. I have always loved to look at people's homes when driving, each house is built a little different, different ideas were put in place, and the layout of each families landscape is beautiful to look at, it gives a person ideas for their own home they may want to build.

But have you ever driven by that home that is nothing like the other home you have just passed by. The grass has not been cut, weeds are growing up all over the place, the lawn is covered with old broken pieces of wood, old junk cars and pieces of metal fills one side of the uncut lawn. The once cute little house that sits on the property, is now run down with shutters hanging from their hinges, shingles are missing from the roof, as vines and weeds are crawling up the sides of the house. It sure makes a person wonder what has happened here, is the property abandoned, or is someone in there that something has happened to, and they are not able to take care of things anymore.

Girlfriends, each one us can represent each of those homes, whether it is a lovely looking home with well manicured lawns and flowers planted all around, or the dark dingy home with garbage all over the place. Some of us can look cleaned up on the outside, but be dark and dirty on the inside, then there's others that can be a little not as well manicured on the outside, but have the most beautiful shiny heart on the inside. Then there's the people who have both sides, they are well groomed on the outside and their personality or heart bubbles over with love, joy and enthusiasm.

Whichever the case may be, God loves us all and He is the one who is the care taker of us "If" we allow Him to do the grooming, so to say. There is not one of us, who has not went through some kind of trial that has left us in a broken down, deep dark and dingy kind of state. I'm sure over the course of years someone has hurt us a time or two, there has been people who has lashed out some hurtful words that we have suppressed over the years. Maybe there could have been a friend, boyfriend, husband that walked out of the picture, which has caused a lot of hurt, anger, pain and bitterness then unforgiveness. What ever the case may be, these are the weeds that need to be dealt with on the inside.

In God's word He tells us in Ecclesiastes 2:5 that He has made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit in them. What are the fruits that could be planted in us that could grow after all of those weeds are dealt with? They are the fruits of the spirit such as, "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control," have you met anyone like that, that illuminates in this way?

When we allow God to pull out all of those nasty weeds that have been embedded down deep inside of us for many years, the soil of our hearts will be healed so the true fruits of the Lord will illuminate through us in our daily lives, we will shine like never before. So let's get up and get to work on the inside of our house, then will be stronger to go to work on the outside and we will feel better for it, Amen?

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank You for a brand new day to serve You. Lord, You are our example of what those wonderful fruits of the spirit look like. Lord, I lift up the one to You with the weeds of pain, hurt, bitterness and unforgiveness, and I take authority over those nasty roots in Jesus name. I break them off at the roots and pull them up and out in Jesus mighty name. Lord let the spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control fill their heart today. Let their spirit bubble over with a new look that they have never experienced before as Your spirit illuminates through them from this day on in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed and pass the blessings on.
