"All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who rage war against you will be nothing at all." Isaiah 41:11-12 NIV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
It has been a little over a month and a half since my sweet kitty Oliver has passed away, and since then, every once in awhile I had been finding a flea that would jump on me. Other people would come to visit and at times a flea would jump on them as well. As I thought about this situation, I knew that fleas cannot survive without a source to live off of.
I decided to call our local vet and ask what they had on the market for a flea spray, as I shared my dilemma with the man on the other end of the phone. He replied to me, "That doesn't sound right, fleas cannot survive that long without a source, it must be something else." I had chuckled out loud as I replied back to him, "You tell the fleas that, because they are still here and I must be their source."
Later that day I had purchased a can of spray from the clinic, enough to spray the entire perimeter of my home. The next morning, I had decided to get myself ready to leave for the day, as I sprayed every nook and cranny of my home, every where that I knew Oliver had laid, spraying under beds, curtains, furniture, and mats. All cushions, mats, throws and pillows were hung out on the clothesline for two days just to make sure nothing would be left on them with lots of fresh air leaving them smelling nice.
Coming home that evening, I decided to go right to the cleaning, as I vacuumed clear through, then going through with the mop, I could feel such a freshness as I also had all the windows open, with no heat on in the place, there could be nothing but a clean, fresh result.
Girlfriends, I am telling you what a lot of work this truly was. Not only was everything sprayed, vacuumed, aired out, but all of the bedding had to be stripped off and washed along with any clothes that had been laying around, it's been many days of cleaning, rearranging, going through things, getting rid of stuff that was under my bed in containers, it has been a spring cleaning in the fall.
Think about this, bugs always seem to come around when there is a change in the weather. When it begins to get colder the bugs are looking for any crack to get in to hibernate for the winter. (flies, little beetle bugs, stink bugs, spiders, and mice) If we don't deal with these pesky things they can ruin our home and some can bring destruction, especially mice not to mention germs and disease.
When we think about it, insects symbolizes a change and a transformation that is taking place. Look at Moses when he was sent in to rescue and deliver the Israelites out of bondage, God sent in the locusts, Exodus 8:16. A change was coming to both sides, not only was the Israelites being delivered from captivity, but Pharaoh and his army were being destroyed because of what they had been doing to God's people.
It is the same today, that when people bring harm, saying slanderous lies, trying to bring poverty on God's people, that is when God will send in someone to help you out of a dilemma, and God will have the final say when it comes to protecting His own. Jeremiah 11:11 (NIV) says it this way, Jeremiah sadly tells the people that something terrible is headed their way as a result of sinning against God, and they won't be able to escape it no matter what they do.
That is another aspect that we must look at as well, dealing with any sin in one's life. It can be hard work, annoying , time consuming, but is something that has to go, just like the insects and the mice in the home. Sin in our life has to go, and it can only go by confession and repentance, as we turn away from it. Just like insects have to be exterminated, so does sin. Romans 8:12 (NIV) says, "If you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live." If we don't kill sin, it will kill us.
Girlfriends, as hard as it may be to think about, there can also be people that are in our lives that can be a bug so to say, or a hinderance to us that we need to get rid of. If they are not treating you kind, or raising you up with uplifting words, or you don't feel joyous when they are around, or they do not place you with a high value, then that may be a sign that they need to depart from your life. Things like this must be bathed in prayer, so that the right decision is made for each situation. Philippians 4:6 tells us, "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication (petition) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
Just remember, that when we close the door to certain relationships it is because we are protecting ourselves from anything getting in the cracks of our lives that could bring destruction, harm or be a hinderance to us. We have to deal with things quickly so that we are not swarmed with these things that these kind of people may bring, Amen, Amen! We have to do our part to look after ourselves, and When God is on our side He sees it all anyway, so who can be against us. (Romans 3:31)
Let's Pray,
Father God, I lift up your holy name, the name of Jesus. Lord I come with a thankful heart that you are on my side and that you are protecting me from every insect, bug, pests that are our there. Lord, I lift up every dear soul that is struggling with whatever pest it is in their life, whether it is alcohol, drug addiction, an eating disorder, depression, anxiety. I speak to it in the Mighty name of Jesus, I curse it at the very roots, I lift it up and break it off in the Mighty name of Jesus. I speak the blood and the name of Jesus over you. Jesus is the one who sets you free from every pest that is out there to take one down but Jesus has come to set you free, so be free now in Jesus name because of what He did on the cross just for you. Believe it and receive it in the mighty name of Jesus, you are free now in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Be blessed and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on.
