Instantly (it was though the scales fell from his eyes) Paul could see, and was immediately baptized. Acts 9:18 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

As I awoke this morning with the event on my mind, that I'm sure most of us have read the account of Saul, the Christian hating, God hating man who was totally changed when he was walking the road to Damascus. It truly shows the transformational power of the God we serve. You can read about this passage in Acts 9:1-9, Acts 22:6-11 and Acts 26:9-20. The events that happened on the road to Damascus relates not only to the apostle Paul who experienced a dramatic conversion, but it also provides a clear picture of the powerful conversion for all people when they encounter the very same God that Paul had met.

Paul, who went by the name of Saul at the time, was on his way to Damascus, carrying a letter from the high priest in Jerusalem that would give him authority to arrest any one who was a follower of Christ. Saul hated the name of Jesus that in a rage he would breathe threats of murder against the disciples of the Lord. Saul truly hated Christ and all who followed Him.

Saul was walking along the road, as well as the men who had came with him, when a bright light had shone on Saul, causing them to fall to the ground. Jesus spoke with a voice that Saul heard Him, asking Saul, "Why are you persecuting me?" Saul had asked the voice who it was whom was speaking, Jesus had identified Himself as the Lord, whom Saul was persecuting. Saul was then told to get up and go into Damascus and to wait for further instructions. The men that were with Saul, were completely speechless of what had happened.

When Saul stood up, he realized that he was blind and needed assistance from the other men to get into Damascus. He was in Damascus for three days without any food or water as he awaited further instructions from the Lord. In Damascus there was a man by the name of Ananias that God had spoke to in a vision. God had explained that he was go to this certain place and he would find a man named Saul there, and he was to pray for him. At the same time God spoke to Saul, telling him that a man was coming to pray for him, he would lay hands on him and he would see again. God was going to use Saul to be His instrument to turn many away from darkness to the light, from the power of Satan to the power of God, and his message would be the power of forgiveness.

Ananias came to Saul and let him know he had been sent of the Lord, and as he had laid hands on Saul, his eyes immediately came open, instantly the scales fell off of his eyes. After eating to regain his strength, he immediately got up and went to the synagogue to tell everyone there the Good News about Jesus.

Girlfriends, can you imagine what the people must have thought when they saw him, the man who was called Saul, who now was known by the name of Paul who preached the Good News of Jesus. They knew he was the one who persecuted Christians and now was preaching for the Lord, what a transformation that could have only been done by experiencing the one and only Jesus Christ. He was one way but what happened in between was "HIM" meaning Jesus.

We too can have this very same experience with Jesus. Some will give their testimony of how it was a gradual change that had taken place in their life, while others will say that it was an immediate change that is so exciting, that they have to tell everyone that they meet. I have had the privilege of meeting a young girl, who felt compelled to share her story with me, this was many months ago. She had been hurt as a young girl by a man, so she had turned to women, and was in a relationship with one for quite a few years. After her and I were connected, I began quoting scripture to her and praying for her. This one day as she stood in my kitchen, the power of God was so strong and I spoke over her and spoke into her as I began to pray, we both shook under that wonderful power of God. Not long ago she again shared with me her wonderful transformation of how she has met a man and she looks at him in a totally different way, than she would have ever before. She has experienced her own experience with Jesus Christ on the Road to Damascus, so to say.

Again, I am so privileged to be able to say that the Lord used me to be a part of this wonderful and beautiful transformation, I am so over joyed and blessed. This is the God that we serve, Amen? If you have not met this Jesus that I am talking about, He has been waiting for you to come to Him, He has been calling you, calling your name. Would you like today to be your day, it can happen, just say yes.

Let's Pray,

Father God, You are so amazing and You never cease to amaze me in who You are. Lord, I thank You for another day to praise You and share the good news about who You are. Lord, I lift up that precious dear soul to you today that has never experienced the wonderful transformational power of Jesus Christ. Lord, I pray that as that individual lifts up their yes to you today, that You would transform them into the new creation that You had created them to be from the foundation of the earth. Lord, lift them up and give their mind, body and soul a complete make over from the top of their heads to the souls of their feet, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on and remember what Jesus has done for others, He can do for you.
