"I came naked from my mother's womb," he said, and I shall have nothing when I die. The Lord gave me everything I had, and they were his to take away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." In all of this, Job did not revile God. Job 1:21-22 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

America's got talent, that show has been around for many years, as millions of people watch to see who is up next to sing a song and whether they will make it to go on further as the judges decide their singing ability or talent. Millions of talented and not as talented people have walked across that stage, giving the audience and the judges, what they feel they are good at.

There's an old saying, "you either have it or you don't," and that still holds true today. Some people are very gifted at what they do such as singing, People who draw, all the crafters out there, some are very good cooks, carpenters, what about all the Doctors and nurses. There is a difference between a really good singer and a gifted singer, as Christians we say that there is an anointing on the person which brings the song out with such a power that you feel it in your soul. It's the same with cooking, there are many good cooks who like to cook, but there are those that has a special gift with their cooking and you can tell when you take a taste of whatever it is that they have made, it's something special.

We can listen to a really good message and can receive many good things from the message, but when there is an anointing on the vessel or the person, (the spirit of the Lord comes on them) that message will come out with such power and a force that it hits you with a punch so to say. Our gifts that each one of has is a "God given" gift that will not be taken away, He doesn't take the gift away that He places within us, it can lay dormant if we do not use it but it will not be taken away.

When we read about Samson and his life, he was called of God from the beginning of his life and God had anointed him to do His work, which was the hand of vengeance of the Lord against the Philistines. Samson was like any other man you would say, wanting to to do his own thing, he was doing things he should not have done, like we all may have done in our past from time to time, but when Samson got with the girl named Delilah, that is when trouble came.

Delilah tried to find out where all of his great strength came from and Samson would trick her by telling her if he was tied up with fresh ropes, he would not be able to break free. Delilah soon found out that was not so, and when she continued to ask and ask Samson where his strength came from, he broke down and revealed it to her. Delilah wasn't long in putting it in action to see if Samson was telling the truth, she cut his hair and when she saw that his strength was leaving him, Delilah shouted that the Philistines were coming, and as Samson woke up and tried to stand, he didn't even realize that his strength had left him.

When we read Judges 16, we see that God's anointing had left Samson, and that is when the Philistine soldiers had poked his eyes out and he was blinded, and it was then that even though he was blinded physically, he finally saw spiritually what he had done.

Girlfriends, we learn from Samson, that when God has called someone, say into the ministry, we cannot play around and do sinful things behind the scenes and expect to get away with it. God is the all seeing God and nothing escapes Him. (Prov. 15:3) Just like Samson, one may do their thing for so long, but when God says it is done, then it is done. When Saul did not listen and obey God, God removed the anointing from him as well and that is when God raised up David to become king, the anointing came upon David to do the work of the Lord.

Not only being in the ministry, but being a follower of Jesus we must hold onto the commandments of God and keep our lives in alignment with Him, we must represent Jesus so that we do not do as the world does, we must live according to what God's word says. The wonderful thing about God is that if we mess up, all we have to do is go to Him and repent for what we have done and move on and do the best that we can to our own ability to live for the Lord according to His word and His commandments. God loves us and He wants us to prosper in our walk with Him, Amen?

Let's Pray,

Father God, I praise You and I thank You for this word Lord, which is Your word. Lord help each and every one of us who is a follower of You, to stay close to You and to get into Your word each day as it helps us to learn and to grow and to become all that You want us to be. Lord help each one of us to be faithful to You as we are Your hands extended, let us be holy and anointed as Your word continues to transform us each and every day the closer we become to You, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings of God on to others that you meet today.
