He's Got You

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 NLT

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Have you ever had a dream where you were falling, well in this dream I had just last night, I was crossing this big, wide, sturdy cement bridge and as I was almost to the end of it, the bridge slowly became to crumble. As I had continued to walk I got caught up in the crumbling bridge as fog was looming all around, in the dream I began to pray. Have you ever experienced when you are sort of between sleep and you are semi-conscience, well that's where I must have been because I could hear myself praying, and as I continued, nonstop praying, in the dream I was being lifted up through the fog, and that's when I woke up.

Lauren Daigle wrote a song that my daughter and I listen to when we are in the car called "Your Wings." Let me share the lyrics with you as these words will begin to sink in.

"When ten thousand arrows take flight, remind me that You are my armor. There's always a place I can hide when I am desperate for shelter. You're my covering, I'm safe, I'm safe, whatever comes my way I'm safe, I'm safe. With every step that I take, You are before and behind me, with every fear that I face I'm constantly finding...You got me under your wings, under your wings, I'm under, I'm under your wings, You got me, You cover me, You cover me, I'm under your wings."

Everyone, no matter who we are, is going to have trouble come our way, or go through some hardship at some point in our life, but God wants us to know girlfriends, that when these attacks, or arrows are being thrown at us so to say, we have a place that we can run to for safety and that is to God, He is our covering, we can run to Him and we will be safe. It's like God is our shield when we are being attacked with a circumstance, a situation that has been thrown at us, when we begin to pray to God that's He raise the shield of protection for us. God already sees what is going to happen, that's why in Laurens song it says "You go before and behind me," He is all around us, God is our shield, our protector, when we pray.

If a child has fallen or gets stuck up in a tree, do they not call out for someone to come help them, come to their rescue, it's the same with us as adults, we can call out to God when we are going through a hard time, when all kinds of stuff is coming at us, He will come to our rescue and fight for us. When we read Psalm 91, God has it all written in His word. Let's read verses 2-6, "This I declare, that He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I am trusting him. For He rescues you from every trap, and protects you from the fatal plague. He will shield you with his wings! They will shelter you. His faithful promises are your armor. Now you don't need to be afraid of the dark anymore, nor fear the dangers of the day; nor dread the plagues of darkness, nor disasters in the morning."

Girlfriends, God is always our protector, our shield, our provider, our comforter, our peace, our guide and so much more. Maybe there are many of you, like I, have been going through some pretty tough situations lately, things have been coming at you at every angle, God is reassuring us in Psalms 91 that He is everything we need and that He is our very present help in times of need, as well as our refuge and strength found in Psalm 46:1.

In my dream when the bridge was crumbling and I was falling, as I began to pray to God, He was the one that was lifting me up and bringing me out of the fog. I have been on a long hard journey for the past little while, but it is God and only Him that has been leading me and guiding me as He is lifting me up out of my despair, my trial, my situation. Just like in our key verse, "those who wait upon the Lord," their strength will be renewed, this is a promise that we can hold onto. It seems like it has been a long time that I have been patiently waiting for all things to come together in this journey, and I have a Savior that I can thank for bringing me through.

Girlfriends, that is His promise to you as well, He will be whatever you need Him to be, we just have to pray and call out to Him and He will come to our rescue every time, Amen!

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You and I thank You that we as your children have a place of safety to run to, we have a Savior that we can call upon to help us in our times of need. As I have been helping my cat to crawl up into the chair because he is getting to weak to do it on his own, I am there to help him as I lift him into the chair, there you are to lift us right up and out of our time of trouble. You are the God who carries us through our hard times, You are our strength when we are weak. You, Jesus are everything that we need in every situation, and for that I thank you, as I lift up each dear person to you who may need to be lifted up, or may need your strength to carry them through their trial. Lord, I ask that you would meet each one right where they are at in the Mighty name of Jesus, as you carry them through their trial and I thank you in advance in Jesus name, Amen.
