"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
Good Morning Girlfriends:
How Moses led the Isrealites from Egypt, through the Red Sea, through the desert places and to the Promise Land has always been a well known story in the Bible that has been discussed and talked about everything that happened from beginning to end. What if we were to back the story up to when Moses was just a baby, to where a decree had been given by Pharaoh to have all the newborn male babies killed, because he felt threatened that the Jews would take over, as we pause to think for a moment to what might have been going through Moses' mother's mind.
Something this serious and devastating just could not happen she must have been thinking, as she quickly had thoughts scrambling through her mind how she going make a way in order that her baby boy was not killed. She probably knew that she had to work quick in order to get everything together, she loved her baby and wanted him to live so the hardest thing she could ever do was going to be that she would have to let him go in order for that to happen. God had to be with her in order for her to come up with the idea to make a basket made out of reeds, then to put her little baby in it and send it down the river. Moses' mother know that the Pharaoh's daughter went down to that river each day to bathe, so this was her only hope to save her child. Mother's will do everything they can to keep their child safe, as this mother had let hers go in order for him to live, God had a plan.
Remember Mary the mother of Jesus, she was a virgin and the Spirit of God impregnated her with this child, and all through this story, Joseph and Mary were led by the spirit to stay a step ahead of Pharaohs men because another decree had been made to have all male babies killed. How horrible this would have been to have to go through something like this, but it was our Saviour that was being kept safe, and as the story unfolded, Joseph and Mary knew the extended plan for their son which was to go to the cross in order to save the world, again God had a plan.
Girlfriends, God has a plan for each and every one of us as well, but how bad do we want to see that plan fulfilled in our lives? Are we willing to listen to the spirit of God as he talks to us and leads us in the way that we should go in order for it to come about? Do we have that "bulldog tenacity" to hold on and push through all of the obstacles that get in our way, that will take us to the place where God wants us? These are all questions each and every one of us will have to answer for ourselves. How bad do we want God's best for us, God's best plan for our life, God's best relationship that He already has in place, are we willing to listen to His voice in order to have His best for our life.
Now is the time to make that stand that we will do what it takes to be the person that God wants us to be, as we let Him work on us and through us in order to go the places where He has planned for us to go. When you want something, or when God shows you something, a sneak peak in what He has for you, you will do what it takes to get there, no matter the cost, remember Jesus did!
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank you that you have a wonderful plan for each and every one of our lives. Lord Your plan is the perfect plan, and I pray Lord that as we have ears to hear what you say to us as You lead and guide us in the way that You want us to go, we will also use those ears not only to hear but we will obey You in order to walk the steps to get to the destiny that You have for each and every one of us, in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on.
