For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 TLB
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Does anyone ever really know how their life is going to turn out, do we sit down like we do to create a floor plan for a house, to have everything mapped out? Sometimes there are so many different twists and turns , bumps that we go over, and roller coasters that we go on, mountains that we climb, and sometimes it is still not a clear view.
I was standing in one of my friends kitchen the other night and that is exactly what we were talking about. Sometimes our life can be a bit like a soap opera with a lot of drama, back and forth, mysteries, laughs and sadness, one never knows what will happen or come our way. There have been so many times I have thought I had things all figured out, but then my life would take another turn, as I would be totally knocked off guard. That's when I remember the scripture that says, "trust in the Lord completely, don't ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first , and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success." Prov. 3:5-6 TLB
Before I had given my heart to the Lord, many bumpy roads that I had went down, were because of my choices in life, my own mistakes, who could I blame but myself. Now, many years later as I am living for the Lord, before I make any major decisions, I go before the Lord and pray about the situation, then the right way will open up, God's way. I am certainly not saying that there has never been any bumps, boulders in the road since I have bee following the Lord, because there will always be things that will happen that are out of our control, like I had shared about "the missing staple gun" situation, or things can happen because of other people making decisions that can affect our personal lives, our personal story.
Girlfriends, an old song came to me that says, "Life is a highway," let me share some of the lyrics with you. "Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long. If you're going my way, I wanna ride it all night long. There was a distance between you and I, a misunderstanding once, but now we look it in the eye. There ain't no load that I can't hold, a road so rough, this I know. I'll be there when the lights come in, tell em' we're survivors." Of course, the person is not talking about God in this song, and when we do not have God in our life, the road we are on could become very disastrous, but if we have the Lord in our life, the road that we travel on will be a whole lot smoother, peaceful, joyful as we listen to His voice on which road we should travel on. How much greater it is for us who follow the Lord, just knowing that He is the light at the end, and when we ask Him into our hearts, He is the light that comes in, as He guides us down life's highway. This is the highway I will continue to travel on, knowing that God is with me, leading, guiding me on which turn to make in life.
As we all know, that if we are still breathing, then God is not done with us yet, our story has not ended, we are still cruising down God's highway. My question to you today is, which highway do you want to be on...the world's highway, or God's highway. I can only assure you that there is definitely a light that will be at the end of God's highway and leads to Him in the end of life's journey.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank you for each day that you give us to be on this journey that we call life. Lord I pray for each soul that is reading this today, would make the sweet decision to follow you on their life's journey. Life is a highway and we want to make sure that we are all on the right highway that leads to you and only you. This world that we live in, has so many roads that can lead us to corruption and destruction. So I lift up each soul that is questioning this highway that they are on, and that they would open up their heart to let the light of Jesus come in as they accept you into their heart, as they make the best turn in life that ever could be made, in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Be blessed and be a blessing because you truly are blessed.
