I Already Am

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

For generations now as children grow into teenagers the questions is asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Some people know from an early age just what kind of career they want, and others have to ponder for years before realizing what they want to do for the rest of their lives.

Some people decide that they want to become a doctor or a nurse because they flow in compassion and they want to help sick people get well. Some may be naturally good with their hands and numbers so they become a carpenter that builds wonderful homes and beautiful creations. Some are very talented in drawing and become famous artists in sketching, drawing and painting. Some people are very gifted with their voice so with structured voice lessons they go on to become well known singers.

As we grow and decide about what we would like to become in life, I don't think it would have crossed a person's mind to say that, "I want to become an alcoholic, a drug addicted or a gang member, although these too are made by making choices but wrong choices will lead a person in this way. It is very important as we grow, and as we are teaching our children as they are growing, that each of us should be making wise, healthy and good choices in life that will lead us down a better road for each one.

As we grow in God's word and we begin to understand it in a much deeper, personal way, girlfriends, we will learn what God's word says about us that we already are. It says that we are already loved, John 3:16 tells us that. We are already chosen, our key verse in 1 Peter 2:9 tells us we are. We are God's handiwork, made by His hand as we read in Ephesians 2:10, He created us, He formed us in our mother's womb, we are His masterpiece. Every one of is God's piece of art so to say. Our key verse also tells us that we are a holy nation, we are a royal priesthood, wow let that sink in, we are royalty. We are God's possession, why, because He chose us, so we already are.

Have we ever wondered why we are all of these things, why did God choose us, why does God love us, why does He call us royalty. We were created for relationship, to have one with Him, and so that we would go on to tell others of how wonderful God really is that because of what He has already done for us because of the cross, we already are, so that we are already seated in high places with Him, which makes us royalty. Isn't that amazing we don't have to become because we already are and I think that we often forget this.

There may be people that had the thought as they were growing up, that they wanted to go out and share the gospel of Jesus. Sharing the gospel of Jesus is the most important thing one could ever do, as we share His wonderous love for others, when we share the gospel it tells others what He did for us when He went to the cross so that we do not have to, in order to become who He says we already are when we live for Him.

Girlfriends, each day when we wake up, we need to remind ourselves and say out loud that, "I am loved, I am chosen, I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I am royalty, I sit in heavenly places, I am chosen by God, I am forgiven, I am special there is no one like me, I am more than enough because Jesus says so, I Already Am, and that is enough for me, Amen?

Father God, Let me start by saying You are a good good father. You are like no other and none will ever compare to You. Lord, You are worthy, You are mighty and You are holy and I praise You. Father God, I thank You for going to the cross for my sins, Lord I thank You that You forgive us of our sins when we come to You with a repentant heart. Lord, I thank You for what what You already did thousands of years ago, allows me and others to be who You say we are because of what You have already done, so are we. Lord, I lift up that one today that is reading this, that if they have never given their heart to You that this is the day for them to come into the family of God so that they to can say that they already are loved, chosen, royalty and forgiven in the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
