I Have My Own Walk To Walk

"Thus says the Lord of Hosts, "If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here." Zechariah 3:7

Good Morning Girlfriends:

As small children, I am sure we have all played the game of "Follow the Leader" a time or two, where each child would follow the leader around the yard copying everything that they did. The leader may have walked backwards, touched their nose, did a hop skip[ and a jump as each child copied it. Later in years as we got older I found that some of us played the same game but only at a little higher level. That may have consisted of things like smoking, drinking, drugs, stealing, vandalizing and such, as our friends may have changed since a small child or some of the same friends may have come along up through life.

Many people experience these things in life and maybe things in an even greater capacity. There are some people who seem to be born leaders in life, while others are great followers, who tend to get pulled into things quite easily that lead in a direction they never expected. After going down a road of destruction, sometimes for many years, the person may think how are they going to get out of it. That is the first step in making the decision to take their life back so that they can get back on the right track.

The older we get in life, we tend to realize that we can either follow people or we can follow God, the choice is always ours to make. Do we always want to play the game of follow the leader, that lead into places that are not good for us, that will keep us going into a place of complete darkness, or do we want to follow God who is the light of the world, and will lead us into a place that is life eternal. The choice is always ours to make.

Girlfriends, many years ago I saw that my life was not getting any better, I was going around the same mountain as I was on my third marriage and it was spiraling downward so i decided to make that step to follow God and I've never looked back. What was there to look back to, but misery, a feeling of unfulfillment, there was not a fullness of joy in my life until I made the decision to follow God and put Him first in my life.

Now my purpose in life is to share the love of God to people who may have never experienced His wonderful love and mercy. It does not matter what we have done in our past, how bad we may think it has been, that will not stop God from loving us, all we have to do is repent before Him and ask Him to come in and take over from here. If that is you, won't get off the path of following the wrong leader and make the decision to walk your own walk, with Jesus right by your side, Amen.

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank you that you do not hold things against us. Lord, You already knew that we live in a fallen world and would be tempted. Lord, I thank You that You give us our own choices to make and even when we do not make good choices, You will still forgive us when we repent. Lord, I lift up that one who may be in a dark place right now from following the wrong people, but Lord You are right there with them if they want to get turned around and follow the right leader which is You Lord. Lord give them the strength and courage to accept what You are offering to them and that is salvation so that they will have life eternal with You. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus for Your glory, Amen.
