O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; For His loving kindness endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34 Amplified
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Thank you Lord for your beautiful masterpiece that you paint across the sky each morning, what a splendor to behold as I stand in awe of your beauty.
Work work work, that's what so many people do in order to survive to have enough money to pay bills, to buy medication when one is not feeling well, to have a vehicle to drive back and forth to work, and don't forget the repairs that always need done. I know a man who is the same way, he works a twelve hour shift at his regular job, then goes to another job doing carpentry, plumbing, fixing things, picking vegetables from his garden then giving it to people he knows, he goes fishing at his favorite fishing holes and whatever his catch is he shares with elderly people in the community. When it's the spring season those wonderful fiddleheads pop up and off he goes filling buckets full of those delicious treats to distribute to the elderly. There are times that when someone calls him to fix something or to do a little repair work, he will not charge them knowing that the person is going through a hard time. One day I was talking to him and I had asked how he was able to get off work a half hour early and the reply was in fun, "I'm just that good," meaning that everything seemed to go smoothly and he was able to leave a little early. We as people would say this is a good man.
There are a few scriptures in the Bible that I wanted to share with you that tells us how good God is, not only for what He does but who He is.
Nahum 1:7 says, "The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him." We have someone we can cling to in times of trouble.
Psalm 34:8 says, "O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man that takes refuge in Him." God is our safe place.
Psalm 86:5 says, "For You, Lord are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in loving kindness to all who call upon You." God loves us and loves it when we call upon Him in times of trouble or just for daily communion.
Psalm 100:5 says, "For the LORD is good, His loving kindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations." His goodness and kindness has been coming down through every generation and those to come.
James 1:17 tells us, "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow." He is the one who makes us able to do what we do, He is the one who brings it all into existence.
In the word of God, as we read, it tells of all the wonderful things that Jesus had done, all the miracles He had performed, all the people He had healed, delivered and set free and yet Jesus spoke in the scriptures in Mark 10:18, "And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone." He states the same in these two scriptures as well, Matthew 19:17 and Luke 18:19. Jesus always gave the credit to His father for what He did, God alone got the glory.
That is the same way today girlfriends, that we do things for other people, it is God who has blessed us in order to be able to do what we do, remember it says that in James 1:17, every good gift is from above. We would not be able to do what we do if it wasn't for God's help, He always gets the glory, the acknowledgement, the praise, because what we do, is for Him just as Jesus had done, it is no different. This is an important scripture in Romans 2:4 that tells us "The goodness of God leads us to repentance." He loves us girlfriends, He really does and He only wants to show us that love and kindness every day. God is an awesome God and He is always worthy of our Praise, not just because of what He does for us but because of who He is, HE IS JUST THAT GOOD!
Let's Pray,
Father God, I lift up Your holy name for who You are to me. Lord You are a good good father and You alone are worthy to be praised. You love each and every one of us that You gave us Your only son to die on the cross so that we could be free. No other person would do that for us. Lord, not only during this Christmas season but in every season of life You are good. You remind us in Your word to praise You in every circumstance, because You are with us and You are taking us through each and every trial that comes our way. Lord we thank you today for each of our family members that you have given us, Lord we thank you for the breath that we breathe, and Father God we thank you for how You love us no matter of the things we have done and that we praise you, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed dear ones and p[ass the blessings on.
