Is There Any Such Thing As "Secret Sins"

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes. And He is the one to whom we are accountable. Hebrews 4:13 New Living Version

Good Morning Girlfriends:

When I awoke the other morning with these words coming into my spirit, I knew this is what the Lord wanted me to talk about. You may be asking, "What is a secret sin," it is referred to an individual doing those sins that they think no one knows about or sees it. It is something that is done in secret, behind closed doors, something that is hidden. Something underhanded, deceitful, not truthful, something that is covered up.

Was there anyone in the Bible who hid from God, there was...Adam and Eve hid from God after eating, what was called the "Forbidden Fruit." God had given them a beautiful place to live and all the food that they could eat, but God had said to them not to eat from that one tree, but falling into temptation by the enemy, they did eat from it and they immediately felt shame. They knew they had done wrong, they had disobeyed God, they saw that they were naked, so they covered themselves with fig leaves. Then they hid themselves from God, at least they thought that they were hidden. (Gen. 1:1-9)

Can anything be hidden from God, really...the Bible tells us in Hebrews 4:13, "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes. And He is the one to whom we are accountable. Adam and Eve were hiding their bodies from God, hiding behind some leaves, they knew they had done wrong, and they learned that even though they were hiding, God knew where they were and what they had done. Isn't that just like the child who take the bag of cookies and hides the bag under the bed, thinking no one will know or notice those cookie crumbs around their mouth.

Girlfriends, have you ever heard the saying "Love is blind but the neighbors are not." It's not hard to see that there is and has been a great shaking going on in the earth and in people's lives. There are many lies, deceitfulness, corruption that is coming out, God is exposing all of the cover-ups, the things that has been done in the dark, corrupt things that has been done behind closed doors, underhanded schemes, all lies are being exposed. 2 Chronicles 16:9 tells us that there is nothing that God does not see, nothing escapes His eyes. His eyes roam to and fro in the earth.

You may be asking the question, will God forgive those sins that were done in a hidden way now that we understand that He does see what has been going on, the answer is "YES." Jesus forgives All sin, that is the reason why He went to the cross and shed His precious blood. it covers it all. 1 John 1:7 tells us that His blood purifies us from all sin. If you are a person who has never given your heart to the Lord before and you repent before Him, Jesus forgives. If you are one that has been living for the Lord and have fallen into some kind of "secret sin," it is the same way, we are to confess it to the Lord with a true repentant heart, you will be forgiven. If you have been dealing with an alcohol problem, a drug addiction, a gambling addiction or even pornography, whatever it is, Jesus is standing with His arms open wide, won't you confess it and give it over to Him today? Remember, He is the God who forgives, He is the God who saves, and He is the God who sets you free, Amen? He loves you with an everlasting love, He really does, girlfriends.

Precious Jesus, I praise You, for there is no God like You, who is mighty to save, and loves so unconditionally. Lord, I lift up each individual that is here today reading this, that has a secret sin that they have been holding onto. Lord, I would like to encourage them today, that today is the day of the letting go of that secret sin. Lord, come into their presence right now where they are at, and meet them right there in that space. Let the warmth of Your love flow over them and through them as they confess that secret sin to You, in a true repentant way. Lord, let them see themselves how You truly see them, and that is loved and standing free from that sin. Let them know who the Son sets free, is free indeed, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
