Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Luke 12:25-26 NIV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Friday night after setting up for the "Fall Craft Sale," my daughter and I decided to run to the grocery store to pick up a few snacks to have on hand for the next day. We are always thinking ahead to make life easier, then I wouldn't have to step out to grab lunch during the hustle and bustle of people coming through the market.
Stepping up to the counter I had scanned my sandwich through the machine, I went through the procedure of questions, stuck my bank card in the machine, and the message came up declined. Trying another attempt at it with the help from the cashier, the message again flashed declined. Not understanding what was going on, I knew there was money in my account, I had to go to the service desk, in which I paid for my purchase in cash.
Arriving home, after dropping my daughter off, I decided to go online and check out my bank account to see what was going on. Trying to log in it kept rotating and rotating like it was loading but nothing happen, it wouldn't open up. Not thinking too much about it, I thought something was up because a bad storm was rolling through, so I would just have to bide my time.
Saturday came, the craft market was done, not many customers had come through and my thoughts were due to the storm, kept people home. I had barely arrived home, when I remembered I had to put money into my bank account to pay my phone bill, I was going to have to make another trip back into town. Stepping up to the bank machine, sticking my card into the slot, going through all the question, my money was pushed through another slot as I waited for the last question to be asked, the machine had spit my money back out. A message flashed across the screen saying that there is no account.
Girlfriends, you can just imagine what was going through my mind right about then. What in the world was going on, of course I had an account, so I make a quick little trip down the road to share this strange news with my daughter. I knew there was nothing I could do about it until Monday morning, I would have to make a trip back into the bank to get answers. The only thing about it was, being set up month to month for my phone bill, it meant I was not going to have the use of my phone for a couple of days.
Luke 12:25-31 (NIV) reminds us, "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will He clothe you-you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink, do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
So you see, even though it was aggravating by not being able to use my bank card or even get into my account, I knew that there was nothing I could do about it until Monday morning when the bank opened, and it wouldn't be until then that I would get answers. Monday morning came, I did get the answer to why my account could not be reached it had been closed by a certain someone, but that story is for another time.
The main lesson is to stay calm, stay in peace, do not get upset over something that you cannot fix right at that present moment, in the end it will always work out, God watches over His own found in Psalm 121:5-8, The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. That is reassuring, that God sees when someone wicked does something to one of His children. Psalm 121:8 says that the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. We do not have to worry about a thing, we have a God that sees all things and takes care of all things, so of course He will look after His children just as a earthly parent looks after their children. He loves us, He wants and has the best for us, and His word reminds us that He will never leave us or forsake us Deut. 31:6.
So the next time there is some kind of mishap that happen just be reminded of these scriptures and keep your peace knowing that everything will work out, Amen? Amen.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank you Lord for a beautiful day as I praise you for who you are to me. You are my God in whom I adore and worship. Lord, I thank you that you were with me through this situation and everything was worked out, even though there were a few complications, everything is being rectified. I lift up that person to you today that is facing a problem or a little trouble, Lord, let them be reassured that you see all things and know all things that is going on in their situation. You are working everything out even though they may not see it right away, but you are working it all out behind the scenes in order to bring them through victoriously. I thank you for your faithfulness to your people in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on.
