It Doesn't Look Quite Right

Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 NIV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Deciding to stay in the house this weekend with the messy weather that was being forecast, I figured it would be a good time to create some winter crafts to sell. Making a trip out to the shed to look through the many totes of craft supplies, my hands landed on the winter craft bins and back into the house I went. It was just like Christmas as I opened up the totes, not remembering what was in there for supplies.

My head was spinning with so many different ideas of things to make, I had to slow down and decide on just one at a time. As the wheels were turning in my mind, I was able to create three framed Christmas trees made from buttons and turning out quite well, if I do say so myself. The large one sparkled with white, silver and a pop of red, the two smaller ones were made with red, white and green and a wooden tile block for the tree trunk. A winter wonderland sign was painted, a white fur wreath with a red and white candy cane bow came together quite quickly but the last thing that I worked on this weekend did not seem to fall into place as easy. I had my thought of what I wanted to make but I didn't have enough hands to hold everything together to hot glue and wire.

Decisions, decisions would the big red frame look better with greenery and red berries at the top and the word 'Noel" painted in white or some glittery silver sprigs with a big sparkly silver reindeer at the bottom. I had to put it all down and step away because I wasn't sure what was going to look the best and I wanted it to look just right.

Girlfriends, sometimes we have to do this as well in life, we have to take a step back and take a look at what is going on. What do we have going on that should not be there...could it be that we talk about the neighbor across the street instead of praying for them, maybe we got mad at someone who just cut us off and blurted out something that wasn't very nice, how about the grumbling because nothing seems to be going your way things don't seem to be working out the way you had planned or wanted. You can't get your car into the garage when you needed it to be, too many things and people are coming at you all at once and it feels over whelming. These things can happen and sometimes they tend to happen alot, but when we pick up God's word, the Bible, and as we read through His word, we will find all kinds of verses and scriptures that will comfort us, uplift us, strengthen us and Gods word will always direct us in the right way.

When we take that step back and take a look at things that are going in our life, because they don't look quite right, and as we read this verse found in Philippians 4:8 Amplified version, it says, "Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God's word, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things (center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart). When we truly concentrate on these things, being and doing and acting this scripture out, it will help us to pray for that neighbor instead of just talking about them, we are then able to say to the person who just cut us off in traffic, "Lord thank you for keeping me safe, they really must be in a hurry for something", and instead of grumbling and complaining we will be able to step back and take a deep breath when things aren't going just right, to say "well I'm not going to let that get to me, devil I know what you are trying to do and it just won't work this time."

One thing is for sure, is that we can not give up from fighting the good fight of faith, we must put each foot forward to keep marching on each and every day, doing the best that we can so that God will look down on us and say "that's my child down there whom I'm well pleased with." Let's us also remember when we see one of God's people down and hurting, let's remember to pray for them, give them a word of encouragement that they will make it, we are all in this together and we need to stick together as the body of Christ, there's too much division and separation going on right now. We need to share the love of Jesus more than ever in order to bring more into the kingdom, there are lost and lonely people who need Jesus, so let's go.

Let's Pray,

Precious Jesus, we are constantly reaching out to you for advice, strength and help in this dark and crazy world. Lord give us strategies and ideas in order to help people who are in need. Lord there times that we may have ideas but we need the financial help, so Lord you are the owner of the cattle on a thousand hills, so Lord send in the finances that we may be able to help those in need this Christmas season. Lord we are your hands extended and we want to be able to do the best job that we can as your servants to love on others, serve others and to lend a helping hand whenever and wherever we can and we thank you in advance in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed dear sweet ones and pass the blessings on to others in need.
