It's A New Day

Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lam. 3:23 NLT

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Yesterday a text had come in from my son, asking me if he could use my car til the end of his work day, the following day. He explained that he would leave his truck for me to use in case I needed to go somewhere, I agreed to it, it wasn't a big deal I was thinking. He stopped by later in the evening so we could exchange keys, as he gave me all the preliminaries of his truck. Later that evening, we were discussing how I was going to drive this vehicle, because it is quite a truck.

As fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise, (Good News Trans. Lam 3:23) I had to get this truck started in order to get the frost melted off, even with wearing high heels, it wasn't the easiest job as I struggled getting up into this thing. Running a little late did not help, even with scraping the windshield, it wasn't the greatest, clear view, and I wasn't able to see out the back window well, so I wouldn't run into my mailbox. As I backed this "monster of a thing" up, I asked my son-in-law to let me know when it was time for me to swing it around, then we had no problem and we were on our way.

When I drive a vehicle, I love to be sitting up high so I can see everything, even though I was up high didn't mean it was easy to see until the windshield was cleared off, then I had a clear view of things as we rumbled down the road, oh yes this truck has one of those contraptions on it that makes it loud, I just loved that, (lol) not really. I felt like a little girl driving this great big thing, just picture it.

Putting all funnies aside, isn't that just like our lives girlfriends, sometimes we have a frosty look of things that's in front of us and until some things get cleared away it's kind of hard to get a clear view. Sometimes in life, we don't get that clear view until we turn some things around, we have to make that clear decision, that if we want a change in our life, then we need to make a change in our life. I'm sure we have all experienced many hurtful things in our lives, many disappointments, but do we want to stay there thinking about all of these things or do we want to turn things around and get looking in a new direction. As Jeremiah tells us, the Lord's mercies are new every day, that His promise to us, a new beginning. It is an opportunity to turn those hurts and disappointments of our lives in a new direction. Believe me when I say, that I have just went through a major hurt and disappointment, certainly not expected, but I have decided that it will not keep me down, that I must swing myself around in order to see what great and wonderful things God has for me.

Girlfriends, that is our first step, is to make the choice to turn around from it, after we have let God heal us on the inside. God has many wonderful things in store for each and every one of us, this isn't the end of our stories. In His word, another promise that He gives us is that our latter days will be greater than our former days,(Job 8:7, Haggai 2:9) everything we have went through in life, God will heal, restore and give back to us in a greater measure. Amen , how amazing does that sound. Our God is faithful to us, He is faithful to perform His word because He is a God that He should not lie, and what He has done in other peoples lives, through their hurts and disappointments, He will do for us. "It is no secret what God can do! What He's done for others, He'll do for you! With His arms wide open, He'll carry you through! It is no secret what God can do!" (an old song)

Let's pray,

Father God, I thank you for a brand new day that you have given us. Lord I lift up to you all of the hurting and the disappointed, and Father I ask that you would heal every hurt and break off every disappointment in Jesus name. Lord I ask for a supernatural strength to come upon them in order for them to get turned around in a new direction as you begin to unfold all of the wonderful things You have in store for each one as their start their new day, new beginnings because Father God you are the God of new beginnings, in Jesus mighty name I pray and I thank you, Amen.
