But there's also this, it's not too late-God's personal Message! - "Come back to me and really mean it! Come fasting and weeping, sorry for your sins!" Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God. And here's why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot, This most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe. Joel 2:12-13 the Message Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Talking with a friend of mine the other night, she was sharing with me about the prayer group that she was involved with once a week. There were so many prayer requests coming in about personal things, which is always good to pray about, but as she was sharing with me, she felt that there were more pressing matters that needed prayer as well.
Even though her children and grandchildren are out of the school system, she had heard many people talking about their concerns for the children going back to school, and what the new curriculum was bringing forth. We talked about how we need to pray for the Government who are putting these curriculums together, how we need to pray for the teachers who think they have to follow the agendas that are placed before them, but also that we need to pray for the children at school who have to face all kinds of challenges each day at school.
Later this very same evening, a young teenage girl contacted me, letting me know that she had been thinking about me, so she messaged me. I had been thinking about her a couple nights prior to this as well, and found myself saying a prayer for her. She admitted to me that she was not doing so well, that she was having a hard time at school fighting off the darkness that loomed all over her school. She opened up to me about there being a certain "substance" that was all through the school, and she needed prayer to keep fighting off the temptation, and prayer to keep her relationship strong with the Lord in order to see her through this time in her life.
Girlfriends, this is a very serious time in our children's, grandchildren's lives, as they not only face these drug issues but they have other issues that they face even in the younger grades as well. Each and every one of us "Prayer warriors" need to ban together and make a stand for our children and grandchildren out there, we are their voice, we are their back, whether they know it or not. God has given us the ability to pray over situations, take authority over situations, so that there will be a turn around in these tough situations.
Look at what happened in the United States, when there was the turning of "Roe vs Wade," how did that happen, it was with great prayers going up. As the darkness covers the earth, there is no better time than now, to rise up and pray over our nation, over the government, over the Principals and teacher's as well as our children and grandchildren. Ecclestiastes 3:1 tells us, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." There is always a time and season for prayer, every day is a good time for prayer.
As this young girl and I continued to talk, she shared that she felt like she was alone, and she was having a hard time in the waiting. She knows that she has a calling on her life and that God has a purpose for her, so I prayed for her, spoke God's word over her and God had a message for her that came out as I was speaking to her. She shared that she needed the encouragement to keep going, to keep fighting, to keep looking to God, she needed the prayer, and she thanked me for taking the time to talk to her. Before we parted for the night, I let her know how proud I was that she had the courage to reach out, to admit that she needed help. I let her know that I was proud of her and far she has come in her walk with the Lord.
Girlfriends, there are many more, just like this young girl who needs our prayers to help them through life's struggles. It is never too late to start a prayer group, get in with a prayer group, or just to sit your very own kitchen and lift up the young people of today. Not only the young people, but each and every generation is dealing with something that needs prayer. Many people are facing addictions of all sorts, there are people who have turned away from their first love, which is Jesus. It is never too late to come back to Him. Girlfriends, if you know someone who has turned away from God, who they once served, lift them up in your prayer time today, it's not too late for us to make a difference in each of these scenarios, Amen, Amen!
Let's Pray,
Father God, I praise you this morning for giving us a new day. Lord, I thank you for the "sun" that is coming out and I thank you for the "Son," that is shining as well. Lord, I lift up our nation to you, our schools to you, I lift up our government to you, our Principals, teachers and students. Lord, you have given us authority over every dark spirit, so any time that it rises its ugly head, we speak your word over it to give it a black eye so that it is trampled under our feet. Lord, I am speaking strength over your people to rise up in these days, with a fire and power in their prayers, that will shake heaven so that we will see a difference in our nation, in the Mighty name of Jesus. Let each of us rise up in the authority that you have given us and take our nation back, and stand for you once again in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed sweet ones and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on in hopes that it will be a blessing that continues on.
