It's Time For A Deep Soak

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Oh my, what a wonderful day it was, a few friends of mine came along and scooped me up to take a day away for some fiddlehead picking and fishing, which I had not done since I was just a little girl. We drove for a couple of hours before we reached the special spot that loomed with fiddleheads that were much bigger than toonies, to my amazement, I had never seen anything like it. Tromping into the woods a little deeper, is where these "little beauties" were growing along the river bank, we could pick and fill a bucket within no time at all. I had remembered to bring my homemade mixture of bug repellant to spray to keep the bugs off, but this breed of bugs must have been a hungry bunch, they weren't held back for very long until I would have to spray the mixture all over myself again.

Taking a break from all the bending over, I watched two of my friends cast out their lines into the water to see if they would be able to catch a fish in the little running brook. Not having any luck, we drove up the road to another spot, where we stood on the little country bridge that over looked deeper waters, only to see schools of fish that was within the fishing lines reach. I had to laugh when these tiny little fish were brought up out of the water and then there would be a good size fish. A few of the smaller ones were kept to give to a little girl that we knew who loved eating them. Before long we were back at the fiddlehead picking to fill the all the buckets that we had brought, so we would enough to share with friends and family.

It was a long fun filled day for each of us, "fun had by all" as they say. Not getting back until later in the evening, I knew what I would would be doing late into the night, cleaning fiddleheads and then going for a long soak in the tub. My muscles were sore and tired just from all the bending over and lifting heavy buckets, you don't seem to notice it until the moment you stop.

Girlfriends, I can picture God with His big bathtub telling His children to get in to have a deep soak so He can heal them from all of their aches and pains and stresses of the world. (Psalm 107:20, Psalm 6:2, Jeremiah 30:17) He wouldn't have to put in epson salts or bubbles to make us feel better, just one swirl of the healer's hand would be all it would take and all of our aches and pains would be gone. There is power in the hand of God and there is power in His voice, everything He created, He commanded it into existence with His mighty voice.

What about the people who say they are living for the Lord but the things that they are saying and doing are not quite adding up, what happens then. God always gives people chance after chance after chance to get things right with Him. He gives every evil, lying, corruptible, conniving, deceitful, people on this earth time to repent and turn from their wicked ways. It's like a parent with their child, they give them several chances from doing the same thing over and over before some form of a punishment has to be put in place, it's the same way with God and those kind of people. That is why we are seeing so much shaking going on in the world, it's like they are being dunked up and down in God's big bathtub to try to wake them up from their wicked ways.

When we think about coal minors being deep within caverns digging and chipping away in those deep dark places, if it wasn't for the lights on the top of their hats, they would not be able to see their hand in front of their face. It is the same way for men and women who have been into deep dark, conniving, lying, deceitful, wicked ways for so long that they cannot see the light of things anymore because they have been living in these wicked ways for too long. God always gives many chances for people to turn from their ways and to repent, and some will turn by the grace of God, but there are those who are truly stubborn, they have been in darkness for so long, they no longer can see the light.

That is why we have been seeing the shaking, and now we are seeing God exposing many dark, deceitful, lies that has been going on for many years. Things are coming out into the open, things are being brought out into the light. We who are in a good place with the Lord do not have to worry, but those who are not in a good place still have a choice to make in order to see what their outcome will be. Girlfriends, we need to continue to pray for these people, that they will see the light before it is too late. God is the one who does the exposing, but we as His followers are to still pray for our fellow men that none will perish without knowing the Lord as their Savior, Amen?

We are living in the very last of the last days, Jesus will be returning any time now, so we must make sure that we are on the right side of the fence, so to say, so that we do not miss out on that glorious day when He comes back to take us home. I know where I want to be on that final day, and I'm sure you do as well.

Father God, I love You Lord with everything that is within me. Lord I thank You for dying on the cross that we might be saved. Lord You will never force us to do anything against our will, You are a patient God, but even with You there comes a day of decision, just as there is with our earthly parents when it comes to discipline. Lord, I prau for each one that is not serving You at this present time, That with this great shaking that is going on, those who see it for what it is, will get their lives in order as they surrender their lives over to You, so that they will be on the right side of the fence and on that glorious day when You return, they will be lifted up into the air to be taken into their final destination in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
