Keep Climbing

The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. Revelation 21:7 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

A friend of mine had shared with me that he was going to apply for a higher position at the company where he worked, as well as thirty some other people. Each person would be taken into a board room where they would be interviewed individually and asked why they thought they would make a good candidate for the position. After weeks had passed, the numbers had dropped as the list of names were being narrowed down as the questions continued. Each person was taken aside to be asked new questions pertaining to that certain spot that they were applying for, as answers had to be in greater detail. Another week had went by as the number were narrowed down to just a handful of people, and they were each given a quiz that would apply to the position. At the very end of the questioning, it was narrowed down to three people, each one had to prove one more thing to in order for the head people to make their final decision for just the right person for the job. Waiting another couple of weeks, on his summer vacation, he had received the call that he had the position and would start when he he came back from vacation.

As we walk through life, we are tested each day with little tests such as...how we will handle a dispute between another co-worker or a family member, will we speak the words that God would have us to say or will we take it into our own hands and blurt out whatever we feel like saying. How we deal with the frustrations in life is another test, will we take it out on the people who is around us at the moment or will take a big breath and speak calmly as God's words help us to speak with gentleness so as not to push people away. (Prov. 13:16, Hebrews 10:24)

We are faced many times with difficult decisions that we have to make..as we weigh the pros and cons on each side of the decision, God wants us to keep climbing to where it is going to take us closer to Him in order to be more like Him. I had a dream that I was in a place that looked like a mall, and there were so many people it was hard to get around so I walked over to an elevator to go to another level and it turned into something that reminded me of a dumbwaiter, that was used back many years ago, and when I had pushed the button to go up, the door opened up to a very narrow stairwell to climb.

Girlfriends, I believe that God is calling for His people to climb higher in Him, as we give all of the old things over to Him and let it be dealt with, God wants to take us higher to a new level, if you know what I mean. In my dream when I had climbed the steep narrow stairs, there were less people there at the top then there was at the bottom. In order to get to the top, we have to keep persevering, we have to pass the tests that we are given, just like we had back in our school days, in order to reach the top of the list, and those people were put on the "Deans list."

Just think about if you have went on a nature hike and as you climbed the mountain all the different things you saw along the way upward, but when you got to the top it was a whole different view as you could see things that other people people couldn't see that were at the bottom. What ever your climb has been, whatever the tests were that you have been through, they may have hurt, and been painful on the way up, but know this...when you are standing at the top of it all, you will say it was worth the climb, Amen!

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank you Lord for being with each one of us, for never leaving us or turning your back on us as we have went through our tests and trials. Lord some of them were harder than others but with strength from You and with perseverance we will see the rewards from the climb. I lift all the people up to You today who are still on their way up the mountain, I say to each one of you that you can do it. Keep making the right choices to your tests, keep pressing in to God as you stay close to His word, and as you do, you too will be standing at the top of the mountain and you will see things like you have never seen before, and you till will say it was worth the climb. Lord, I praise You and thank you for Your strength and Your love that take us through in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
