For God so loved the world that He gave His Only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

In Flanders fields the poppies blow, Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place: and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

When McCrae wrote the poem in 1915, it was a memorial, for us who are remaining here on earth, to remember those who died in a World War I battle, that was fought in a region of Belgium known as the Ypres Salient. This poem describes the horrible tragedy of the soldiers' who lost their lives, as well as the ongoing natural beauty that surrounds each one of their graves.

As you may have noticed, John McCrae used many symbols when he wrote this poem such as, the "poppies" represent the dead souls, and "torch" is the symbol of hope. The "rows of poppies" symbolize the rows of dead soldiers and "larks" are the symbol for life. As I think about this concept of what all the wonderful, brave soldiers did for us, each one of them were willing to sacrifice their life, as they fought for truth and our countries, they fought for what they believed in and that was "freedom", our freedom, and is that not what is being, or trying be taken from us today at this time in which we are facing. Many men and women lost their lives so that we could be free and live in a country that would have free speech, free choices and where is that all going. We as a people, a country need to stand together for what is right and fight together. As we take a moment of silence all over the world today, remembering what the many, thousands of soldiers had done for us, I'm sure if we really think about it, it was not a "holiday" for them, just another "day off," so to say. Let's truly take some time today to remember our freedom that was fought for, and as we stand together to continue to fight for that freedom.

Girlfriends, as we remember this very important date in time, called "Remembrance Day," let us not forget what Jesus also did for us. As I think about my own life, Jesus saved me from myself...called sin, He saved me from depression, a broken heart and broken dreams, broken relationships. Jesus saved me from bondage of anger, hurt, resentment, unforgiveness at different times in my life, I was set free. Scripture tells us who the Son sets free is free indeed, John 8:36. Not only was I set free but Jesus replaced everything with a love that cannot be described and only can come from Him. What Jesus did on the cross, was for each and every human being on this earth, and that is to be set free to live in freedom. As I had laid all of my past hurts, pain, disappointments in my own Flanders' field, so to say, you can do the same, you can lay it all down and be totally set free today. Today is your day for freedom, Amen1

Let's Pray,

Precious Jesus, that is what and who You are to me. Lord I lift up every sweet person today who needs and wants to be set free of one thing or another, let this be their special day of remembrance, let this be their day of freedom as you come into their presence and fill their space, let each one call out to you today and surrender that broken heart, that lost love, the unforgiving heart, the shattered dreams, the lost child or marriage, Lord sweep in and remove every piece of pain, hurt and resentment from them in the Mighty name of Jesus. Lord fill them up with your sweet peace and love til they overflow with the Father's love and joy in Jesus name i pray, Amen.

Be blessed sweet people and stay blessed as you pass the blessings on.
