"And she will have a son, and you shall name him Jesus (meaning 'Savior'), for he will save his people from their sins. This will fulfill God's message through his prophets. Matthew 1:21 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Wondering what to write about today, I could hear these words being said "Let it out," so I began thinking what do I let out, then it came to me, to share the reason why Jesus came, it was to save us from our sins.
When we read our scripture verse, it teaches us that Jesus will save his people from their sins. This was the prophecy that was spoken to Joseph by an angel who visited him in a dream, that this baby that Mary was carrying would bring salvation to mankind.
It is sin that separates mankind from God, and it was Jesus who became the mediator between God and us, that He paid the price for us by dying on the cross. Jesus didn't come to earth just as a cute little baby in a manger, then as He grew to be a celebrity at Christmas time. Jesus came to save us from our sins by being the sacrifice for us.
There may be people who might ask why they would need to be delivered from sin? We can find our answer in Romans 3:23 where it tells us that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," which simply means that we are all guilty of sin and we all are in need of a Savior.
Some people may ask why they need to be concerned about being delivered from sin? They may think that they can just go on living their same old life without the forgiveness of Jesus. Romans 6:23 gives us the answer where it tells us that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
The Bible makes it very clear to us that if we do not let Jesus take care of our sin problem, then first, we will die in our sins, which means that eternal separation from God or hell. The second things is, we will miss out on eternal life, which means eternity with God in this wonderful place called heaven.
Our sin problem can be fixed, and the very same Jesus that came to earth over 2000 years ago, and He is the very same Jesus that can save and deliver us . His power is so strong it can deliver from the most severe bondage which could be any kind of addiction , any kind of hopelessness, any kind of bitterness and unforgiveness. Salvation is just one prayer away, the question today is, "will this be you," that will make the decision to make Jesus your Lord and Savior? I made that decision many years ago, and it was the best one that I could have ever made for my life.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I praise You and I thank You for this day. Lord this is the day that I will rejoice and proclaim that You are good and that You are my Lord and Savior. Lord, I lift up to You that one dear soul who is reading this today who has never made You their Savior, Lord let this be the day that they would make the most important decision for their entire life, so that they will be making heaven their eternal home. Lord, I declare that You will come in and change their life around like they have never experienced before. Your love for them is deeper than any human can ever give and I thank You Lord for that one who surrenders their life to You today in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on.
