Come, let us praise the Lord! Let us sing for joy to God, who protects us! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and sing songs of joyful praise. For the Lord is a mighty God, a mighty king over all the gods. He rules over the whole earth, from the deepest caves to the highest hills. He rules over the sea, which He made; the land also, which He Himself formed. Come let us bow down and worship Him; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! Psalms 95:1-6 GNT Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Music has always been a part of my life ever since I was a young girl, I loved to bounce around and dance to music. Now that I am older and listening to a new kind of music that glorifies the Lord, I love to praise and worship Him for who He is and what He has done on the cross for me.
Learning many lessons throughout my life time, things and situations do not always go the way we think they will go, but there is one thing for sure is that we serve a God who is always right there walking us through those trials and situations. John 16:33 tells us that in our trials, in our troubles we can have God's peace because Jesus overcame the world.
Here is a sample to what Psalms is telling us about singing in Psalms 5:11..."Let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exalt in you." Psalm 9:2 says, "I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High." When a person falls in love with the Lord, for who He is and when a person thinks about what He truly sacrificed on the cross for us, one can truly sing praises to Him. Even though we go through hard times in life we can still sing of the goodness of Him and sing of His faithfulness to us as He brings us through each trial.
When we sing praises to the Lord, it brings Him onto the scene. Praise opens up the gates of heaven and the doors of blessings. When we are focusing on praise to the Lord and not on our situation, it takes our thoughts from any worry that we have and puts it on praising God, because we are praising Him for who He is and His goodness. The more that we can understand about where we put our focus, the quicker we will realize that God is our strength, He is fighting our battles and we will go through each battle or situation with greater ease and peace.
The more that we praise the Lord, the more the blessings will come down, the healing will come down, the glory will come down, because we are so consumed by His holy presence. Here are a few scriptures to go along with this.. James 5:13, Isaiah 25:1, Psalm 103:1-22, Psalm 109:30, Psalm 71:8, Psalm 35:18, Deut. 10:21, Psalm 150:1-6, Psalm 34:1. There are so many wonderful scriptures about praising our wonderful God, our creator, the one who died for us, the one who has blessed us in so many ways, how can we ever forget all the He has done for us and given us and blessed us with, He alone deserves our praise.
Girlfriends, there is always something that we can praise the Lord for, there must be something that He has brought you through, healed you from, lifted you up out of, delivered you from, blessed you with. Let's lift up our voices together in praise to the Lord God almighty and bless His holy name, for He alone is worthy of our praises. Let our praise rise a little higher, let our praise rise in a deeper manner, let our praises rise in such a way that the showers of blessings will fall upon us in a most glorious way, Amen. Girlfriends, He Is Worthy!
