Let Praise On Your Lips

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Acts 16:25 NKJV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Usually, most everyone has their favorite artist they enjoy listening to on the radio or whatever device is out there today, and some will sing along as the artist sings, I know I do. I just love to crank my praise and worship music up when I am driving in the car, when I'm doing things around the house, and sometimes I will keep my music playing all throughout the day to fill the atmosphere with songs of praise and worship. If you have ever noticed as you praise and worship God, the atmosphere around you changes, there is such a peace that fills the room.

The other day I had shared as I was driving, I felt to pray for the lady who had a brain tumor. I had a c.d. in the player, playing softly as I was praising God I began to pray for a healing for this lady, then I continued to Praise God for this dear lady, as I was believing for a healing to take place in her body. As we usher the praise up to God, His glory comes down or His presence comes in to where we are. God hears us when we pray for others, and He hears us as we praise and worship Him, we are His children and it brings glory to Him, we are honoring God with our praises.

Look at Paul and Silas, they were thrown into prison for preaching the gospel, how awful, but look at what is going on today as some Pastors have been put in jail for doing the very same thing. Paul and Silas knew their God and loved Him, and even though they had been put into prison they were still going to praise and worship God for who He is. They knew that God is a faithful God and as they continued to sing the other prisoners could hear them. I don't know what the other prisoners were thinking, probably that Paul and Silas was crazy because they were in jail for preaching the gospel, of the very one they were singing to. Oh but what a testimony it was when those prison doors came flying open and prisoners were set free.

Girlfriend, what are you in prisoned to today... it could be words that come out of your mouth that might not be so nice, a broken heart, disappointment from something or someone, unforgiveness towards someone, jealousy towards someone, built up anger, whatever it is, God says that all we have to do is repent, ask for forgiveness and as you lift your hands up, and thank thank God for taking this away from you, because He is the one who has come to set you free, those prison doors will swing wide open as you continue to praise God. When all of the prisoners had fled when their prison doors flung open, the guard came to Paul and Silas and asked what he must do to be saved, found in Acts 16:30. Maybe there is someone who has been questioning, wondering about life, searching for answers and wondering if this God is for you. Yes sweet girlfriend, He is for you, He died on the cross for you, He shed His precious blood for you, and He would have done it if you were the only one. Let Him set you free from your prison, your chains that you are in bondage to. He is the only way to be set free, John 14:6.

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise you Lord, I give you glory, honor and praise for who you are. I lift up each sweet soul that is reading this today, on their behalf Lord, I am asking that you would meet them right where they are at. Lord as they lift up their hands to you in surrender, each one will feel an amazing warmth come over them, and that is your love that will flood their souls. Lord I thank you and praise you for setting them free from all addictions, all unforgiveness, all jealousy, all disappointment, anger, malice, strife, Lord I give you praise for I know that you are the God that knows all, sees all and hears all the prayers, praise and worship that is surrendered up to you. I thank you for what you are doing right now and for what you have already done in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
