"The Lord our God has secrets unknown to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions." Deuteronomy 29:29 NLT
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Remember when television shows would have cliffhangers at the end the the season? They were famous for leaving things hanging, like Who shot JR, or Would Rachel marry Ross, just to keep you thinking about it all summer, so you would be excited to see what was going to happen when it returned for a new season.
Now theses days we have streaming media so a person doesn't have to wait for their favorite shows, but in our lives we still have cliffhangers, don't we? There are times when we are waiting on God to relieve stress and the pressure of our uncertainty of how different situations will turn out that we are facing. We may have questions like: God will I ever find someone who will love me til death parts us? God when will we get on the other side of this financial hardship? God when will my prodigals come home, I've been waiting so long. God our community has been praying a child that was kidnapped, when will we hear something? God when will peoples blinded eyes come open to this situation in the world?
I'm sure there are time that we may ask the question, why does God allow these cliffhanger moments in our lives? Doesn't God know how hard this is on us? Why God why, and when God when are questions that have been asked at different times as well and when will all of this end? Todays verse explains how Moses communicated God's message to the Isrealites right before they moved into an uncertain season as they were heading to their new homeland. We are no different than they were when they were asking all kinds of questions of how long it was going to take, why is this happening, are we even going to make it there, I'm sure they wondered what would happen next. Through Moses, God was telling the people to trust in Him, trust in His promises rather than focusing on what was coming next.
There are two eye opening revelations to help us with the uncertainties in life such as: I can't know everything that God knows and sees, but I can trust God with the things that I do not know. There are times when we just want God to tell us or show us how things are going to end, just let us see the end, and there may be times when He may do that by giving the person a dream, but in most cases we have to walk it out through each day taking one day at a time as we put our trust and faith in God. If we can put our trust in knowing that God knows all things, (Psalm 139:4) then it's possible for us to trust God in our moments in life of uncertainty. God only gives us the knowledge of what we need to know for now, and as time goes by He may give us more of what we need to understand the situations that are a mystery to us right now,
Sometimes we may find that hard to handle especially when one is hanging or dangling on the cliff of uncertainty. Our first step is to believe that God will give us what we need to know in the moment even if it's a little, but also to trust in the God who knows, just like the father in Mark 9:24, when he said "I do believe, help me with my unbelief." The father believed just a little bit and that was enough.
What are you believing for girlfriends, could it be for a sick family member to be healed, a son or a daughter to give their heart to the Lord, maybe you are believing for God to send you that man to come into your life that you have been waiting years for, whatever it is Gods wants you to believe that these things will happen. Trust in the God that does not lie, you can stand on His promises that He will do it, and trust Him that He already has it all worked out because He can see the end of it, we just have to trust God in the process. Amen.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank you for this day. I thank You that You know all things and you see all things from the beginning to the end. Lord I lift up each person who has been believing You for something in their life, that they would grab ahold of Your word that, You are who You say You are and that You will see them through to the end of their situations, they only have to trust and believe and You will do the rest, and we thank You in Jesus name, Amen.
Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on.
