But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 NKJV
Good Morning Girlfriend:
Sitting in the waiting room at the Doctors office, waiting for my name to be called by the receptionist, sometimes my heart would beat at a quick pace as I took deep breaths to slow my breathing down. Somedays would be full of appointments and things to do, rushing around was the only way to move in order to get everything accomplished, you remember those days. Being led into the Doctors office the receptionist would proceed to take my temperature, blood pressure, and isn't it funny that if the blood pressure reads a little high than normal, it is connected with how fast the heart beats, and it may have to be taken a second time to get a true reading.
When the Doctor comes into the room, he or she is the one who does the more in depth investigation, so to say. The cold, metal stethoscope is then placed on the chest, over the heart in order to hear the beating of it, as the Doctor listens to the rhythm of the beating heart. The heart has to beat so many beats a minute, as they listen to make sure there is no irregular beats taking place or sounds within that should not be there, but how deep are they really hearing within the heart. If the Doctor thinks they may hear something out of the ordinary they will then send you a "Specialist" Heart Doctor to do a further investigation, thank you Lord that this has never happened to me.
Doctors can only look into the physical heart to see if there is any trauma going on or illness with the heart, but have you ever thought about it, when you're talking to someone and they are telling you their life's story, can you really hear what their heart is saying, way down deep in their soul do you hear their heart. Usually a person can when they really take the time to listen for the story to unfold.
Girlfriends, there is one thing for sure, that when Doctor Jesus comes onto the scene, there is nothing that He misses. We as people are very good at hiding things at times and there are some people that wear everything on their sleeve so, it's not hard to tell, and that's okay, I believe they are outwardly crying out for help. Jesus knows all of our hopes, dreams and fears, He knows everything that is going on with us. He sees deep into our hearts if there is any hurt, pain or disappointment left from that relationship that went sour. Jesus sees if there is any resentment, unforgiveness, anger that may be left over from that situation that may have happened many years ago. He knows us, He knows every little thing about us because He created us, (Gen. 1:27) He formed us in our mother's womb, (Psalm 139:13) He even knows the number of hairs on our heads, (Luke 12:7) so how could He not know our hearts. It even says in God's word that He hears our hearts cry found in Psalm 66:17-20, as well as the cries of praise back to Him.
Whether we are in a place that we can sing praises to God or we are in a place of hurt and despair, He hears, He listens deeply, He cares and He loves each one of us. Doctor Jesus is in the office today, and He is asking the question, "How can I help you?" He hears you, He knows you, and He loves you, He wants you to let it all out, pour it to Him today because He is listening.
Let's Pray,
Dear Heavenly Father, We are coming to you today, thanking you that you do see and hear our hearts. Lord I lift up each one today that may have some old hidden hurts and disappointment that need to be taken care of, Lord I lift up that sweet one that has new hurts and disappointments that need to be removed. Lord, I speak your precious name, Jesus, over their hearts right now, the healing name of Jesus. Lord as your love ministers and washes over their hearts right now, let the healing process be finished in the Mighty name of Jesus, for Your glory and Yours alone in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Be blessed sweet girlfriends and pass the blessings on to others that you meet so that you can be that testimony for another sweet person.
