Love Grows Here

And may the Lord make your love to grow and overflow to each other and to everyone else, just as our love does toward you. 1 Thessalonians 3:12 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

As I think back on all the children that have come through my home over the years of my children's school days, I could not begin to count them all. Now that all of those children have grown and have children of their own, at different times I would see them around town somewhere and we would catch up on what each other was doing in life, and each time when we were talking it was brought up how they always loved coming to my home. One young man said, "You always had so many children at your house and I don't know how you fed everyone but you did." A young lady once told me that she loved being at my house because she loved to sit around the table with everyone as we talked. She remembered going into my closet with my daughter, as they would try on my clothes, and that was a great memory for her.

Today it quite the same, my grandchildren love to come and visit because they know there will always be some kind of craft that I will have for them to do, whether it is painting, gluing, and of course it will always involve glitter which is the best part. One of my grand daughters once said she could see herself coming back here again because she loved the way everything looked like a Barbie house.

Even though I try to make my home a fun, loving and warm place to come to, I also love to share the love of Jesus to people who walk through my doors. As we all know, there are many different kinds of people out there, with all kinds of different backgrounds, Jesus teaches us to love one another as Christ loves us, found in 1 John 4:12. There is not one person on this earth that does not long to be loved, and is looking for love, so how do we show people love, we are to let His love flow through us in our actions and our words of kindness. We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus to extend His love to those people that come into our lives.

Girlfriends, you really never know what kind of an impact you may have on someone's life over the years, unless like me, you meet up with a person and they share with you something that you said or had done for them. When I look around at the children today, and the issues that they face each day, I could not imagine what they must go through just to survive going to school. Philippians 1:9 says, "And I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and discernment." Our children and our grand children are living in a day that they need our prayers more than ever, and not only ours but other children as well.

In love, I try to speak to my family what the word of God says about certain things going on that is all around us, that people are facing every day. We have to stay in the Word of God everyday so that we ourselves will grow in the love of Jesus, as His word transforms us more and more, then we can be a greater affect for the kingdom of God. We are to speak God's word in truth and in love to others, because there are those who may not know what His word even says. (Ephesians 4:15)

We do not know what each day will hold for us or who we will meet in the run of a day, but whatever we do let it be done in love. Whoever we meet, let the love of Jesus flow through us so it may draw others to Him. Often times I have said, there is not enough love in the world, so let it start with each one of us so our world can become a better place, Amen? I'm sure that each one of us can think of someone that we can reach out today, and show a little love to in some way. Let love grow in your home so that others will see it and feel it until it becomes contagious.

Father God, I thank you precious Jesus that You first loved us. Lord, You truly are the perfect example of love when You gave up Your one and only son to die on the cross for each one of us, that shows how much You truly love us. Lord, help us to reach out and show love to those who are hard to love, let the love of Jesus truly rise up in us so that we can reach people who has never experienced the love of God before. Lord, help us to be a witness of You so that the love of the Father will be glorified in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones, and pass the blessings on, and as you do try to think of at least one person who you can reach out to and show the love of Jesus to, what a blessing that truly will be.
