And He answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." Luke 10:27 ESV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
There are some days I seem to float around the house singing and praising Jesus as I am so grateful for yet another day to be alive. Jesus has been the center of my life for many years, and I love to talk to others about Him and all the things that He can do for them, because I remember what He had done for me.
What does it mean "to love Jesus... The love of Christ is the core of a Christians being. It means the love of Jesus for humanity, the love of Christians for Christ, and the love of Christians for others. It's like passing the love of Jesus forward to people who does not know Him yet. Sharing the love of Jesus with others and sharing what He has done for me, because I remember what He has done for me, I want to pass on that Jesus can do the same for them as well.
1 John 4:19 tells us that we love because He first loved us, as it is confirmed in John 3:16 that God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. Think about that one for a minute, God had given up His one and only son to die on the cross for you and me, that one thing alone is why I love Jesus. Jesus extended His love to me for salvation, for a new life, to be forgiven of all my sins, all the things I had done in my past, they are all wiped away to be remembered no more, (Psalm 103:12, Heb.8:12, 1 John 1:9) that is something to be thankful for.
John 14:21 ESV says, "That whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him." When a person loves the Lord Jesus Christ and what He has done for us, we will want to keep His commandments
Another thing that comes to me is that Jesus died for all, Jesus loves all, He loves the little children, yes all of our children, but yet each of us is His little children no matter the size or the age. Think about this... Jesus knows the most about each and every one of us, all of our good quirks and all of our maybe not so good quirks and yet He loves us still.
Think about how Mary Magdalene felt when she had her encounter with Jesus, she had been full of demons and one encounter with the love of Jesus she was set free. She had been tormented for many years, so she would know what it felt like to be totally set free, so why wouldn't she want to tell others about what Jesus had done for her as she began to be one of His biggest followers sharing the gospel of Jesus. John 15:9 tells us, "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love." That is what each of us are to do, is to remain in the love of the Father.
Here are five ways to show love, the Jesus kind of love:
Show Kindness Ephes. 4:32, Galatians 5:13, Galatians 6:9-10
Pray For Others James 5:16, Matthew 5:44, 1 Timothy 2:1
Love Others John 15:12-13, 1 Cor. 13:4-8, Philippians 2:3
Show Patience 1 Cor. 13:4, Romans 12:12, Romans 8:25
Love Your Enemies Matt. 5:44, Luke 6:27, Romans 12:1
When a person has the love of Jesus in them, we want to share His love to others because we know that Jesus died for every individual and we know that all people need Jesus too. All we can do is share Jesus, share His gospel message, share what He has done for us, but it is up to that individual whether they receive what Jesus has done for them on the cross. We are to be Jesus' hands extended, by showing kindness, praying for others, loving others no matter who they are or what they look like, we are to be patient with people, and we are to love our enemies, those who may not like us for some reason, those who are against us. Jesus says to love them anyway, because He does.
Can you think back on all the things that Jesus has done for you, has forgiven you from, has saved you from? Today, let's make a point of loving on Jesus and thank Him for everything that He has done for each of us. There is an old song that we sang at Church called, "I Keep Falling In Love With Him Over And Over Again." Let's fall in love with the one who first loved us, the one who offered salvation, the one who loved us regardless of the things that we had done, and let's share Him with other's whenever we are out in our communities, even when we are on vacation, or even on a call with the phone company. Let's keep loving Jesus!
Let's Pray,
Precious Jesus, I want to say thank you for loving me and saving me from myself. I thank you for dying on the cross for me. Lord I want to praise You for who You are and all that You are, You are worthy of all of our praises. Lord I speak blessings over each and every person who is here today and every day. Lord, I lift each one up in prayer that You would give them their hearts desire and that You would answer prayers supernaturally quick, because You are a super natural God. Lord, let Your love flow through each of Your children as we share the gospel message and Your love to other's that we meet each and every day, so that they too would come to know the precious Jesus that loves and died for them as well. I pray this in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on to others each day. Thank you for passing this message on.
