When the Council saw the boldness of Peter and John, and could see that they were obviously uneducated non-professionals, they were amazed and realized what being with Jesus had done for them! And the Council could hardly discredit the healing when the man that they had healed was standing right there beside them. Acts 4:13-14 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Summer Camp Meetings are so exciting to go to, under a big open tent or an old building that is used for meetings, as people gather in by the hundreds to listen to the special guest speaker and wondering if there will be any miracles during the service.

Probably about four years ago now, I went to one of those camp meetings that used to have the sawdust floor and old cinema folding chairs. People were packing the building that night, as flyers had been sent out all over our joining towns of who the guest speaker was going to be, people came from all over the place far and wide. This night the guest speaker had come all the way from the big city of Texas to speak in our little community, he was well known all over our area and had been for many years.

That evening when the guest speaker was wrapping up his message, he had asked a gentleman from the audience to come to the front of the auditorium to pray for his diabetes. The man sitting in his seat got up to go to the front and prayed over the guest speaker to be healed from his sickness of diabetes. Other people were prayed for that night and was healed of many illnesses. A few days later, a friend of mine had called me with some news from that night that we had been at the camp meeting with some amazing news. The gentleman that had been called to the front to pray for the speaker, he himself was healed from the very disease that he had prayed for the speaker, "Diabetes," isn't that amazing.

Girlfriends, how do you suppose that evangelist got to be where he was and who he was... he had spent much time in God's word, studying it, digesting it and believing in it, just as Peter and John walked with Jesus, learned from Jesus by spending time with Him. He had started out as an ordinary person just like you and I, just like Peter and John who was used in our key verse, they were fishermen. God is the one who chooses who He wants to use and calls the person out to spread the gospel, heal the sick for the greatness of God's glory.

Why does God use the unqualified, people that we would not think God would use? God will use a certain person whose past actions or past, that would make him/her unqualified and uses them for a greater purpose, and God gets all the glory for it.

Think about this for a minute, if God could use Abraham who was old, Elijah who was suicidal, Joseph who was abused, Job who went bankrupt, Moses who had a speech problem, Gideon who was afraid, Samson who was a womanizer, Rahab who was a prostitute, then why can't God use someone like you and me? The answer is, He can, are you willing, ready and able? This sounds like a question on a job interview, and maybe it is girlfriends. This is God's business of preaching and sharing His gospel, sharing the love of God every where we go. Do you hear God calling your name, are you ready. Won't you answer the call, He is looking for a few more good men and women to share the love of Jesus and how He has worked in your life, again it's all for God's glory!

Let's Pray,

Precious Jesus, I praise You Lord and I magnify Your holy name for You alone are worthy of my praise. Lord, I thank You that You saw something in me that You could use, a willing vessel to share of the many things that You have done in my life. Lord, I pray that if there is even one that hears the call from You, calling their name to share the gospel to people that have not met You yet, that they would give a big YES to Your call. Lord, let every willing vessel rise up today and answer the call for Your glory Lord and Yours alone, in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on. Share this devotions with others that you think it would bless and blessings will return back to you.
