But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 ESV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
My daughter has been preparing for this day for months now, as we are getting ready for her very first showing of her beautiful clay earings. These little creations may be small and look simple, but as I stood by and watched the procedure from beginning to end, I'm here to tell you there is a lot of work that goes into them. First the clay has to be conditioned as it is fed through a rolling machine to be flattened and texturized as it is smoothed out by the several trips through the machine. Then as it is laid on a cutting board, she chooses from the different shape cutters that she has to cut them out of the clay, and many different colors can be used for different colored earing in this shape. Then she has to cut a tiny hole in the top with a micro mini tool for the hook to go into. Then the tray of clay goes into the oven for so many minutes at a very low temperature, so they are cooked so to say.
The next step after they have cooled for awhile, she then sands off any rough edges around the sides before she gets into the tedious part of connecting all the shapes together with micro mini rings that holds each part of the earing together. Some of the earing have a hook that is attached to them and some are made into studs, where she uses a special kind of glue to hold the post onto the back of the earing, which has to have time to harden and dry. The earings are then placed on little cards for presentation and slipped into a little bag to be sold. Hundreds of earing have been made sitting right here at my kitchen table, being packed into many containers, she is ready to go to her first market.
The night before, table cloths were packed into a basket, along with glittery table runners, mini lights to run around the table and a bird cage with a battery operated candle will be placed on the table to hang the earings on, everything is ready to go. She wondered why we will need all of this "stuff", and I explained to her presentation is everything.
Girlfriends, I am so glad that we do not have to go through any kind of ceremony or preparation to get ourselves all cleaned up and put together before we ask Jesus for forgiveness or to help us in a situation. God tells us to come as we are, in Matthew 11:28 it says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden." Maybe there are so many things going on in your life right now that it is giving you a heavy heart, you are thinking how am I going to get through all of this. Jesus wants you to know that He is the way out of your situation, He is the way that will give you rest, He is the way to a life that can be turned around, Jesus is the way that can smooth all of those rough edges off in those certain areas in your life. Jesus is the one who can put you all together in all the right places.
You see girlfriends, it is not only for the people who have never given their heart to the Lord before, but it is also for us who have been through some "stuff," we too may need a little extra buffing off, smoothing out, shaping into more of God's likeness. We are reminded in Romans 3:23 that all have fallen short of the glory of God, and it reminds us over in 2 Cor. 6:11, "And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." There is nothing wrong with a little extra sanding off, a little extra buffing off as we are allowing God to make us more into His likeness, so that the ones who have not met Jesus yet, will see Him through us, God is so good.
For that dear sweet soul that has not had the pleasure of meeting Jesus for yourself, today is your day for that connection with Him. There is nothing better than being connected to the one who loves you, (John 3:16) the one who created you, (Gen. 1:27, Psalm 139:13, Ephesians 2:10) the one who has a wonderful life planned for you. (Jeremiah 29:11) Won't you make the most important decision of your life today by letting the one who created you, the one who loves you come into your heart and show you all the great and wonderful plans He has for you? You truly will not regret it, today is your day, present yourself to Him, He loves you!
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank You for yet another amazing day to worship and honor You. Lord, I lift up each individual who has already said "Yes" to you, and that they would allow you to do a little more buffing off any rough edges that may still be lingering from a situation that they just came through. Let the love from Your hands be felt in their hearts as You remove any hurt, pain, disappointment from that situation in Jesus name. I lift up that dear soul that is saying "Yes" to You for the very first time today. Lord, as they surrender their life to You, let the amazing love of the Father come in and penetrate their heart with a warmth that they have never felt before. Let the warmth of Your love ooze all over them from the top of their head to the souls of their feet, as they feel an immediate change in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Be blessed dear ones, and pass the blessings on, that's what it's all about. Thank you for passing this message on. Have a blessed day.
