But now your dynasty must end; for the Lord wants a man who will obey him. And he has discovered the man he wants and has already anointed him as king over his people; for you have not obeyed the Lord's commandment. 1 Samuel 13:14 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

My beautiful grey long haired cat Oliver, loves to go outside first thing in the morning right after he has had his morning treat. This is our routine each morning, as he sniffs around at the air deciding on how far he will wander, I am over at the coffee pot pouring my first cup of coffee for the day. Four days ago I remember watching him sit in front of the shed that's in the back yard, as this was his same position this morning, as he sat in the grass looking , and watching for what I had presumed was a mouse. As I stood in the window watching him sitting in the grass, patiently waiting for something to come out, I had said a little prayer that a mouse would come out since he did not catch one the other day.

Oliver is now sixteen years old in human years, and he is not as quick moving as he used to be. He walks now with more of a saunter , a sway if you will as he walks along, not so much "giddy up and go." Sipping at my coffee I continued to watch him out through the window, and just now he gave a big leap in the air and pounced down on what I assumed was a mouse. It kind of surprised me because I didn't know that he would jump with such a pounce that he did, because he is not able to jump anymore up on the furniture, his springs in his back end does not work anymore, but they sure did as he jumped in the grass. I laughed to myself as I watched him come up from the grass carrying a little mouse in his mouth, it was like he was saying, "I've still got it, even in my old age." I walked up the hall to the front door, looking down at him sitting there with his mouse, Oliver looked up at me like he was quite proud of his catch.

Such a simple little illustration this is but it has a great meaning girlfriends. It was four days ago that I had noticed Oliver sitting in the grass in that same position, watching and waiting for a mouse to come out to him, he sat there patiently, listening, watching...waiting...looking...listening...and still waiting until it finally had happened, he knew how long to stay still and when it was time to pounce.

How many of us can say that we have stayed patient in our waiting...How many of us can say that we may have pounced in a situation before we should have and maybe missed out on what God may have had for us, or messed it up a bit. I am sure that we can all say that we have all been guilty on that one, a time or two on different things. If Oliver had made a move before the mouse was close enough, he too may have missed his catch, and he would not have had a reward.

Just as Saul had not listened to the command that he was to wait for seven days for Samuel to return, he would have been rewarded by the Lord, and made king over Israel along with his descendants. (Read 1 Sam. 13) He missed out on that reward, so God had chosen and anointed another young man in Saul's place, which we know was David, the young shepherd boy.

God is looking for a people that He can trust to listen to Him when He speaks, but to also obey Him when He speaks. I think back to Joseph and Mary, if Joseph had not have moved onto each town with Mary when the angel spoke to him, their lives would have been in even greater jeopardy than it was already. They had to move at just the right moment in order for the turn out to be what God had planned, and that was the birth of our Savior.

As I have learned girlfriends, we do not always know what God's plan is for us and we may not even understand it at times, (Prov. 3:5-6) but when we will be in full surrender to Him as we wait patiently, listening to His every word, He sees the beginning to the end, (Isaiah 46:9-11) the reward will be worth our wait. He is a good good father and has only good good gifts for us. (James 1:17)

Like I said before, when we wait on the Lord, He will direct our path. I don't know what you are waiting for to come about, but I do know that if you continue to praise the Lord, He will surely bring it all to pass, as you wait upon Him, He will renew your strength in the wait. Amen? (Isaiah 40:31)

Let's Pray,

Father God, Oh we give You praise this morning, we worship and adore You for who You are precious Jesus. Lord, we draw on Your strength as each of us are waiting on You to bring us to the rewards that You have in store for us Almighty God. Lord, I thank You for Your peace in each situation as we wait patiently on You, and we wait to hear You when You speak, we know that You will have great blessings, great rewards for those who wait upon You. Lord, I give You glory and honor in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed, and pass the blessings on. Thank you in advance for passing this message on.
