When you go to war in your own land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. Numbers 10:9 NKJV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
We are winding down to the last day of 2021, all over the world there will be get togethers with friends and families remembering all the things that has happened throughout the year. Whether it had been a great year for certain individuals, or it could have been a hard year for many, either way party horns will be blowing as everyone welcomes in a new year.
In this little piece of history, Alexander the Great was well known for winning most every battle that was ever fought. There was one battle that wasn't going so well for Alexander's army, in the heat of the battle they were losing, and Alexander noticed it for what it was and he made the decision that they would retreat. Alexander gave the order to the trumpet master to blow the trumpet of retreat. His army was trained to know each command whether the retreat or victory horn was to be blown, and Alexander decided they would live to fight another day. Minutes had gone by and the trumpet had not sounded, so he made his way to the trumpet blower to find out why he had not sounded the blow, he commanded the retreat.
Losing even more ground, and still the trumpet did not sound, Alexander made his way back to the trumpeters' asking the question why he did not heed to his command. With this answer the trumpeter answered as he admitted the reason he had disobeyed. He admitted that he had not brought the trumpet of retreat with him because he was so used to them always winning in a victory, so he stopped carrying the retreat trumpet. As Alexander thought about the explanation, he came to the only option that he had. He shouted to sound the trumpet of victory, and as the soldiers saw what was right in front of them, so they did what they were trained to do, they gave one last push to fight as they won another battle to victory!
Girlfriends, I know it has been a hard year for many of you, and you have had to persevere through some very difficult decisions, but here you are standing at the edge of your land, so to say, as you are getting ready to march into a new year. It was a hard battle with many tears being shed, sweat that ran down the face as you weren't sure which way your situation was going to go, but as you gave that one last push in order to persevere to the end of it, you are now standing at the victory line. Lift your trumpets girlfriends, and with a great blow, give the victory sound that the whole world will hear that you have made it through what seemed like a never ending battle.
When we trust in the Lord, even though it is hard sometimes, He will always bring us out of the battle on the winning side, even if it doesn't look like the way we thought it would be, we still come out victoriously. We have learned that giving up was never an option, so all of those loved ones that you are praying for, never lose hope and do not stop praying, for they too are coming out on the victory side of it, Amen!
Let's Pray,
Father God, I am so thankful that you have been with each of us in our battles, you always have been and you always will be. Lord it has been a hard year for some, weariness came upon many, as disappointment, frustration had set in but with that last bit of energy and strength that came from you almighty God, they were able to persevere to the end and with that we raise a victory shout in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, I'm lifting up anyone who has not quite made it through to the end of their battle that Lord you would give them the strength to push through the last mile so they too can sound the victory trumpet for the whole world to hear in the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Be blessed and pass the blessings on. Raise your trumpet high as you blow with the victory sound!
