Now to Him who is able to (carry out His purpose and) do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think (infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes or dreams), according to the power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever amen. Ephesians 3:20 The Amplified Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Naomi now being a widow from losing her husband, and now losing her two sons as well to death, she decided to go back to her home land Israel. Naomi tried to convince both of her daughters-in-law to go back to their parents home and maybe God would bless them with a new husband for each of them. One daughter-in-law Orpah decided she would go back to her parents home but Ruth was determined to stay with Naomi. Naomi was only thinking of the girls best interest, thinking that they may have a better chance at life because she was old.
Ruth wanted to follow along with Naomi, she made it very clear that she wanted to go where Naomi did, live wherever she did, Ruth said that Naomi's people would be her people and that she would die there as well. Naomi had remembered that she had an in law that was a very wealthy man by the name of Boaz. Ruth had thought that she could find some field to go behind the harvesters, so to say, and reap some of the grain that was left behind to help feed her and Naomi. Naomi had agreed as she told Ruth to go ahead and who's field do you think Ruth had walked into...Boaz's, her future husband that she didn't know about yet
Our everyday choices are just as much a part of God's plan as what Job we take to who we will marry. Whether they are big decisions or little ones, our faithfulness to God causes a ripple affect that not only influences people in our present, but for generations to come. Take Ruth for example, she had no idea that because of her choice or obedience to God, by following her mother-in-law Naomi, would make her the great grandmother to King David, or an ancestor of Jesus. (Read Psalm 119:91) If Ruth had not decided to follow Naomi back to home land and she had back to live with her parents, she may not have ended up being a part of the lineage that she was in, and she may have never married her love, "Boaz." (meaning in the strength of, to be strong, in sharp mind)
So what about us girlfriends, look at where we are right now in each of our lives, do you think we would be where we are right now if we had not made the choices we did? Do you think we would have done half of the things that we did in life if we would have known what the out come would be, may and maybe not. But if we had not, then it wouldn't be a part of our story, and wouldn't be where we are or have learned what we did.
Remember, the ripple affect happens by the power of God in us. God plans beyond what we could even dream of or imagine, His power lives in us! That is why we should live by faith, as we trust in Jesus to guide us through each step of the way, each decision in life. Through God, our faithfulness will be an eternal ripple affect in the days that continue to come and for many generations, Amen?
Let's Pray,
Father God, Oh I praise You and I thank You for all of Your many blessings You show and give each and every day. Lord, I know that in my past I have made some decisions that may not have been good ones, but You help me to get turned around and brought blessings out of them anyway. Lord, help each and every one of us to look to You when we have decisions to make, and Lord let us hear Your voice with such clarity that we will move in the direction that You would have us to move so that we will be in the place that You would have us to be and maybe even sooner than what we would have ever thought or even known. Lord, I bless the name of Jesus as You have shown each and every one of us many blessings in our life. I speak many more blessings are to come in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on to be that ripple affect.
