If you want to know what Gods wants you to do, ask him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give you a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him; He will not resent it. James 1:5 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

As I was reflecting over my years of experience through life, all the wrong choices and mistakes I had made when I was living in the world and not for the Lord, all I can say is "wow" as I look at the transformation that has taken place since turning my life to the Lord and the great wisdom I have inherited.

As I was sitting here thinking, this question came up in my memory bank that I had heard someone speak, "What would you say to your 30 year younger self, if you had the chance?" As I pondered this question, it didn't seem to take long before many things came to mind of what I would say, so let me share some of my thoughts, as I feel they are very important facts of truth.

Jesus loves you (John 3:16), He designed you and you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14), He created you for purpose and a destiny (Jer. 1:5), You were not a mistake (Psalm 139:15-16).

Do not be so quick to jump right into a relationship and settle for the first person who comes along and shows you a little bit of attention. Be choosy of the qualities you want in a "guy," make sure he has a good background, with a good upbringing of healthy and Godly values, look for qualities of love, gentleness, kindness and giving. Make sure he has your best interests at heart. Watch how he treats others and how he respects and values his parents. Prov. 15:24 says, "The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave."

Ask God to give you patience to wait for the "Right One" to be brought into your life. Love who you are knowing that you are made in the image of God (Gen. 1:27). Learn who you are in the Lord, and what He says about you not what the world may say. Psalm 119:105 says "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." Prov. 17:24 says that a discerning man (or woman) keeps wisdom in view, but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of the earth. (NIV) So when we ask God for direction in which way to go, we are being wise for asking Godly advice. I would say to my younger self, to listen to good Godly advice from my elders as it says in Prov. 19:20, and to accept instruction and in the end you will be wise.

To my younger self I would also say this if I had already made some not so good decisions, if I was already mixed up with a wrong person that was not living in the ways that I wanted to live, that it is not too late to get your life turned around, to begin to make decisions that will be pleasing to God, because He truly only wants to bless you. If this other person is not making wise decisions in his own life, and he knows what kind of life you want to live, then it may be a decision that you will have to make for yourself, but also knowing that God is with you and is leading you in the right way that you should go. (Psalm 32:8)

Girlfriends, it is never too late to get our lives turned around, back on track, to live a life that would be pleasing to the Lord. We need to know that God will always look after us, He will always put good Godly people in our path to help us, guide us with Godly wisdom, and be there for us for support and strength. Prov. 12:12 tells us that wisdom belongs to the aged and understanding to the old. (NLT) Job 28:28 also tells us, "Behold the fear of the Lord that is wisdom and to depart from evil is understanding. (NKJV)

Seeking God, reverencing God and what His word says is the beginning of wisdom, that is when we begin to understand what God's word is really saying, and what He wants for us. Girlfriends, it also tells us in James 3:1-2, "Dear Brothers, Don't be too eager to tell others their faults, for we all make mistakes; and when we teachers of religion, who should know better, do wrong, our punishment will be greater than it would be for others. If anyone can control his tongue, it proves that he has perfect control over himself in every other way." When we as an elder person are speaking or giving advice, it should not be our own opinion, but the word of God only should be spoken.

One more thing to add that I would say to my younger self, I have made mistakes, I have made wrong choices in relationships, I have made wrong decisions and I do not want to see you go down the same path of hurt, pain and destruction. I would say to myself, to follow God's ways, which is the best way, listen to Godly advice from Godly men and women who will help steer you in the right direction, and get into your Bible and learn just how much God loves you and learn about the wonderful plan that He has for your life, and you will not be disappointed.

Let's Pray,

father God, I am so thankful for you and your loving kindness towards me. I love and adore you, and I thank you for giving me another day. Lord, I lift up all the younger me's to you, that they would seek good Godly counsel, that they would look to you for advice. Lord, I speak blessings over each one today, that you would bless them in a way that will astound them. Lord, I ask that Godly men and women would be put in their path to help guide them along life's way, that they would have ears to hear what your word has for each and every one of them in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Be blessed sweet girlfriends, and pass the blessings on. Thank you in advance for passing this message on.
