Stand Up For Truth

Instead, we will loving follow the truth at all times-speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly, and so become more and more in every way like Christ who is the Head of His body, the church. Ephesians 4:15 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Thinking back to many years ago, when this girl that I know was a young teenager, she was telling her mother of an incident that had happened to her, as she unraveled the whole story, the girls mother could not seem to believe what her daughter was telling her. The young girl persisted that what she was saying was the truth and that she was not making a story, but to no avail her mother would not believe her, because in the mothers mind, it all sounded to far fetched, so it was dropped and never talked about again.

Many, many years later, this same girl who was now a women, was bringing forth information to her mother of an account that had taken place in her relationship, this woman was a God living, God fearing woman who was totally dedicated to the Lord in all of her ways, and as she revealed some incidents that she had come through and experienced in her relationship, her mother's reply was that she could not believe what her daughter was saying, she just couldn't see that happening. This was very upsetting to the daughter that her mother would not understand or receive what she was saying to her, as this woman continued to share with me, she had said that the spirit of God spoke to her saying that her mother had not believed her when she was younger, why would she believe her now, so again she let it be.

Girlfriends, just to let you know, I was given permission to share these parts of this woman's experience, so that we can see that there will be times when people will not believe or receive the truth that is being given. I have heard people say that it's about what's right or wrong, but I believe it's about what's truth and untruth in a matter. I've always said, if it's not in the word of God, or it doesn't line up with the word of God, then it doesn't matter. There are going to be some people that will believe your story and there may be people who will not believe your story, but there again it doesn't matter as long as you know the truth and God knows the truth, that's all that matters.

There are going to be people that will come against us, or not believe us, so we must do what 1 Cor. 16:13 tells us to do and be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, (women) be strong. It also says in the word of God that if God is for us, who can be against us, Romans 8:31. The word of God tells us that there will be many people that will be deceived, that false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, insomuch that they should even deceive the very elect. (1 Cor. 16:13)

1 Cor. 6:9 reminds us as it says, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality." John 17:17 says, "Sanctify them in the truth, your word is truth." When we speak the word of God, no one can argue with His word because it is all truth.

1 Cor. 15:58 also reminds us as children of God, "Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." Yes, there may be many people who will not believe and receive what the word of God is saying as we bring it forth, but God reminds us in 2 Cor. 12:9 that His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness.

Girlfriends, whenever you are faced with adversity, remember to always speak the word of God, for the word of God is truth and it has all power against whatever and whoever is attacking you. Remember the enemy is working through people who are open to his works, so we are fighting against principalities (spirits) not the person. The devil cannot fight against God's word when it is spoken, so continue to declare God's word and let the word fight for you, Amen, Amen!

Father God, I thank you for this glorious day, another day to praise you. Lord, I thank you for the sun and Your Son, Jesus, who is our perfect example of standing for truth is all about. Lord, as we face people each day that may need a word, let us be filled with the word of God to speak it out. You said that if we open our mouth, you will fill it. So use each of Your children to continue to speak out Your truth and I declare that You are preparing the hearts of those who are in need of the truth, that they will believe and receive it in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
